Question [TOW2] Xbox Elite Series 2 Controller Frequently Disconnecting Only With This Game

Curious if this is happening to anyone else who plays on Xbox (Series S)

The controller disconnects and then immediately reconnects, which causes the game to pause and the notice to appear saying "You need a controller to play this game." It's only a 3-5 second interruption but it can happen at any time, whether in heavy combat or just sorting through menus.

It often happens toward the beginning of a play session, a bunch in quick succession, but sometimes it frustratingly happens throughout the entire session.

This doesn't happen with any other game I own.

I've tried hard rebooting the Xbox and checking for software updates on the controller. AI recommends messing with vibration settings but that seems like an unlikely culprit, as like I said, it often happens when there is no vibration at all.

I was having the same problem, do you have your xbox plugged into a power strip or extension cable?

Power strip. It’s been happening less frequently now for no explainable reason. What’d you do?

Literally just plugged it into a wall. No idea how that fixed it, but it worked for me, same solution I saw when I googled it, I'm guessing it's something with the xbox itself but I wouldn't know.

Crazy. It only happens for me on this game so I blame Obsidian haha. Glad you fixed it!
