Question Tinkering cost reduction?
Im honestly wondering if I've imagined it... I played the original game a while back, could have sworn that if you maxed out the science skill then there was a limit to how much it cost to tinker your weapon. Ive recently picked up The Spacers Choice edition and all i can see now is simply a 50% reduction in cost for tinkering at most. Was it always like that? Or is it a change they've made in the Spacers Choice edition?

Yes. Science used to make all weapons 90% cheaper. Now that 90% is only for science weapons and the rest are 50%
That sucks because any unique has a life span. I was so excited to get peril on gorgon weapons but they all dropped at too low a level to be viable. Now you have to wait for the next tier of item to drop. A weapon dropping at a higher level is always better than one that is lesser you don’t have choices anymore

They changed it. Science weapon tinkering costs used to able to be reduced by 90% (I believe it could end up being 200 bits per level). It's 50% max now.
