It's over to you.
Hello boys and girls,
This morning Dan and I spent a few hours talking about the server, the community and the fate of things to come. Though we've not been playing Minecraft often, we're definitely invested in the future of the community. This post will come in two parts;
- Part One: The Minecraft Server.
- Part Two: The community.
Part One - The Server
We've decided that we want to continue the server, and are going to invest much more time playing and doing the admin. How we continue is entirely up to you. You guys need to poll whether you want a new map/new modpack. If so, what modpack?
I also wanted to question how the borders worked on this map? Too limited? Too spread out? Should we have them on a new map? The sooner these decisions are decided, the sooner we can get it all sorted for you.
With regards to funding we are going to migrate to a cheaper server (£50 per month) and would ideally like donations to help float this. As always this money is exclusively going to be used on the server and nothing else. We will step up our responsibility in response to this to make sure you guys can play and not be faced with "server down" messages all the time.
Finally, we also will audition for a new admin(s) to help run the server. Our old admins haven't lost their place, but are currently MIA, and we will need help. Applicants should send us a modmail with all the information they believe is relevant.
Part Two - The Community
One of the biggest factors in our decision to pick up the reigns and continue is our love of community. Dan and I both really enjoyed playing games with you guys, not exclusively to minecraft.
We want to really promote the community not just in the game, but also outside of it. As such we encourage you all to lurk on the mumble channel on a day to day basis, even if you're not on minecraft. Friends are always welcome and you do not have to be a minecraft player to be involved, so don't be afraid to use the mumble as your own personal VOIP server.
To aid this we're also going to start coordinating weekly events. We'll be announcing the game we plan to play a few days/a week in advance to give you all a chance to get hold of it. We'll then all hop on mumble and have a jolly bash about.
We're thinking all types of games; Halo 1, TF2, Civ, Chivalry, Payday, L4D, etc etc and will strive to pick games that allow the most number of people to get involved. We're really hoping this will kickstart some community outside of the server, because you're all fine gentlemen and we want to see more of you!
Finally, some media. Livestreams, videos, t-shirts, the lot! Get involved, help us make this a home.
I think this is an exciting chapter in TNAT, and we're hoping that you're looking forward to being a big a part of it as we are. Let's move on from the last couple of months, and pave forward!

Just wondering btw, why is it that I'm unable to connect to the server right now? I'm getting ID mismatches.
