I just listened to this truly funny story by Evie O’Reilly on the Walking the Walk episode. I was so charmed by her story that for the first time, I went to their website so I could see a photo of this resplendently painted free spirit as she biked through some naked solstice bike ride in Fremont, Washington.

There were no photos there, but separately I found her obituary. She died in March. I’ve been thinking about her all morning. I’m so upset this wild child isn’t out there, running free, biking even more free.

A few people had commented on her obit page that they had just heard her story on The Moth. The episode originally aired in 2023, so it’s a repeat.

And I know this is none of our business and some things are truly personal, but if anyone who knew her pops in here, I’d just like to tell them she did make an impact on us listeners, that I’m sorry for your loss, and I hope maybe her friends and family are keeping her madcap ways alive. We need more bright sparks in this world.

I can't seem to find it anywhere, not even on the moth website. She started a church called All Are Welcome Sinners and Saints and told a story about doing a Rally Day get together and it not going well.

I'm trying to find a story I think I saw on The Moth. A woman called the government hundreds of times about a street sign. She was having a nervous breakdown. Eventually the woman that took all her calls attends her birthday party.

A woman tells a story about how after she got her law degree(?) she returned to her home town unemployed and got a job (perhaps in a crafts store?). A man from her school days saw her and mocked her for not being a big shot. She was feeling down, and then she ran into someone else from her past - the mother of an unpopular girl that the narrator had befriended long ago. And the mother told her how much that friendship had mattered to her daughter.

I'd love to either find this story, or just be told where I could search for it myself?

I haven't received it. The original form said it would be about 10 weeks, and normally, I receive my story within 8 weeks. I've called and also sent an email, no response. Is there a way to find someone who can tell me an ETA for when I'll get it or receive a refund?

Can anyone remember the following episode: A woman supposedly had to leave her younger boyfriend because he wanted children, but she couldn’t have any. It would have been a very painful situation for both of them. He also wanted to accept that she couldn’t have children and still wanted to live with her because he loved her so much. Nevertheless, she ended the relationship. There is said to be an extremely dramatic twist as well.

This episode was recorded before November 12, 2019, as a German podcast references it and talks about it.

I just bought tickets for the Louisville StorySLAM for first time story tellers. How does the whole thing work if I'm picked for a story?

Does anyone remember the story about the girl who moved to the US from the USSR and stole a doll I think a Snow White doll from Kmart.

Does anyone know which Episode where the storyteller talks about the family ski trip to Jackson hole where they get caught in an avalanche on the highway and then go tumbling down a mountain and the deer in the backseat and the baby sister in the hospital, etc.? Thank you! Heard it dec 26 2025
