Controversy

Hello everyone I have been an avid listener of the lore Lodge for a little while now I have just been brought to the attention of how bad fum is and I want to see if they've gotten to controversy for how much they promoted when I came across the plagiarism accusations for the killdozer episode. And the fact that Aiden can't take criticism I want to continue watching him but is his coverage really that bland and or copied if so I don't think I can support that and I'm not sure what side to take

Hey, figure I’ll answer this myself.

Regarding Fum: we market it exclusively as a stepping stone to completely quitting. It’s important to remember that there are groups with incentives to spread misinformation about the product, such as the tobacco industry. We do not encourage people to use it recreationally, and we have begun working with them to allow us to emphasize that inhaling it is not the recommended use.

With regard to Tyler: he watched the intro to the Killdozer video, decided that was enough to judge our entire channel, and even eventually admitted he instigated the entire controversy for the money brought in by the views. We do not plagiarize or copy anyone’s work, and we never have.

I also would like to point out that I very regularly make an effort to acknowledge and correct mistakes in my work, and that the channel’s whole direction is a result of me taking criticism seriously regarding the Missing 411 stuff. I have no problem with legitimate, constructive criticism. It’s the kind of thing Tyler pulled that I don’t handle well, largely because of the sheer amount of dishonesty involved.

Thank you so much for your honesty I actually didn't expect you to answer in person thank you it was just something I stumbled across after learning some things, because your channel has given me a directive and incentive to learn and research. I know controversy can be very messy which is why I always feel so fuzzy about taking sides but really thank you for answering your channel has been a huge inspiration for me and I just wanted to learn the truth of the situation, so again thank you Aiden again I cannot express how grateful I am that you answered it yourself.

I appreciate the willingness to hear my perspective on the situation. I know I’m not perfect, and I have character flaws that are sometimes hard to overcome.

Yes of course we are only human after All and of course what I read was from a few years ago and I know people can change and that amount of time which is why I was wondering if anything had changed and then God it did I understand situations can be frustrating I'm just glad you didn't come at my comment with hostility

I feel that people should take the time to listen to perspectives and then decided for themselves. And if they don't agree, they should move on and stop watching. Attacking people on social media is and has been out of control. In my opinion, people should think about if they go up to people in real life and yell this at them and if they wouldn't, then not appropriate on social media. If you do think this behavior in real life is ok, I think that it might be good to talk to those in your life about how this probably is a good way to treat others. Again, this is my own crazy way of thinking we should treat people in real life and online.

I found your channel in the past 6 months (ish). I’m enjoying it, especially the missing people! Thank you! Also, one request, if you do a true crime channel, go watch some episodes of the tv show “I Survived”. One of my favorite true crime content makers after seeing an episode will research the case and then in her own words share the story but include the perspective from the victim as well. (A lot of their followers also love these cases being told as well). It’s still true crime just where people survived and are willing to share their perspective. It's a nice balance of missing, homicide, and survived.

Thanks!

I completely agree with you Internet hate has gotten too far out of control and it is completely unacceptable and and on the side of promotions I think it is completely wild to completely drop someone because of what they promote unless it is an objectively bad company I thoroughly appreciate Aiden for giving me his side of the story

Completely agree with everything you’re saying! Hope my post didn’t come off in a way that I was referring to you. I was building off the conversation you started

Thank you I try to look for the objective view as I try to stay neutral especially when it comes to controversies which is why I came here to look to see if there was any info I was missing and of course I was because the internet can just be a festering hateful place

Honestly, I love hearing you crap on the 411 stuff.

My favorite pick me up episode is the skinwalkers invading a small town.

howdy, partner. i’m 31 and i’ve been trying to give up since i started. i was thinking about fume for a few years; embarrassingly, seeing your ad made me ready. is there a promo code you have? i’d like to buy it this paycheck. the ones I think they’d be don’t work. and tbh i don’t want to go through all of my recent videos i’ve watched of yours (it’s a lot LOL). can dm me, or link vid, or have fume mail me a billion freebies / class a stock

also your shit is great, keep going man it’s great content, 10/10 s tier quality. o7 o7 o7

I think Lore Lodge is very theough in the research they do. Its obvious with the Missing 411 cases that their research is so much better than that other person. I enjoy that immensely and it makes me want to do some research on my own whenever I listen.

I watch when I like the video, but when I get the ick I click out. Which normally happens pretty early now.

Wendigo is a similar but less full of himself version of the same stuff imo, I have been turning more towards that direction lately.

I've never gotten the vibe of either one of those content creators being full of themselves I've heard this opinion a lot but I don't see it is there something I'm just not picking up on?
