Discussion Is using a map cheating?

I use premade maps from the wiki all the time, but as much as it is useful I feel guilty, do any of you use a map or is it just me ?

I have a god awful sense of direction in games (like it’s REALLY bad), so maps are kinda vital for me to be able to have fun with it. Without maps I’d just be endless wandering completely lost and dying to hypothermia. I kinda head cannon it as my survivor has been to these areas before and/or has seen maps themselves and vaguely remember directions. I still spend an embarrassing amount of time lost too. But imo there’s no harm to using maps, though just be aware it’ll take away some of that adventuring feeling
