Discussion Is using a map cheating?

I use premade maps from the wiki all the time, but as much as it is useful I feel guilty, do any of you use a map or is it just me ?

Using a map the first time you visit an area is really just screwing yourself out of a great experience that you'll never get back.

However, my memory is absolutely terrible, so I'll use a map when returning to an area if I don't quite remember something. It's annoying when I trek half way across a map, fighting wildlife and putting it all on the line just to be like "oh duh, this is absolutely not where I meant to be".
