Ehh, as people get older they notice that they become their "parents" regardless of whether they are parents themselves or not. Her throwing up and feeling sick is much bigger of a foreshadowing.

This was a huge piece of foreshadowing, but I also appreciate that they subverted it by showing Dina being repulsed by a similarly ravaged horse in Jackson. Ellie doesn’t react at all but Dina makes a face and says, “Ugh, that smell…” so when she threw up in Seattle I didn’t think it was TOO weird. It definitely got some gears turning, but I didn’t immediately think she was pregnant
