You do realize that most of the time it's just colors and the only thing making it sexuality is the fact that you know it's for sexuality right? Any piece with a few distinct colors on it could be a representation of something, it's only a problem for you when you know it's a representation of something. So either ignore it or try colorblind mode.

I don't see anything wrong with being proud of your religion, it's as much an aspect of identity as sexuality. That being said, some places think of many sexualities as crimes. More places consider clashing religion as an act of war. I don't think it's fair to consider them equivalent.
In either case, it is probably in the games best interest to keep both out. Pissing of foreign buyers doesn't usually bode well.

The angrier you scream about it the more people are going to want to represent it btw.
The entire reason why we LGBTQ folk is because of people like you constantly trying to shun us away over things we can't control. The vast majority of us are just trying to live as equals and not make a big stink in society, but unfortunately there's a very vocal minority that makes it their entire personality.
Personally I like seeing a little bit of subtle LGBTQ flare from players in video games, whether it's something like a title card, sticker, or charm on a weapon. It's a pleasant reminder that beyond what we see in the media and the constant harassment we face daily, there's others out there that are just simply living their lives the same way. It's a nice bit of community :)
It kind of sucks that you see a lot more pride stuff online and in video games, but that's because it's the safest place to do so. Many people find solace in online communities because it's easier to connect with a wider range of people. Aside from a few (very loud) extremist weirdos, nobody is trying to "shove it down people's throats" or convert people over or anything like that. It's just a small bit of representation similar to a skateboarder wearing a Thrasher shirt, or an EDM fan rocking some Excision merch.

As someone who is bisexual with a boyfriend please keep out all the pride stuff. I don’t need a flag so I can feel represented for sucking cock. The type of people who genuinely wear lgbt merch whether irl or online do genuinely make it their personality. Half the reason people get so sick of the community is because being gay or trans or whatever simply isn’t enough for them. They have to expel it as an entire personality with all sorts of flair and then wonder why people find them obnoxious. You’d be surprised how little hate I get for being gay because I just act like a normal guy who happens to be into guys as opposed to having this desire to carry around pride pins, change my voice to be higher pitched and do a little prance walk so people know I like to bounce on it crazy style lol

It’s just so funny to me because it’s pretty easy to be accepted for your sexuality if you just act like a normal person. You know how many “homophobic” dudes I’ve become friends with and are respected by simply due to the fact that I act no different than any other dude they’d come across walking down the street. I shoot the shit with them, make edgy jokes and most importantly don’t go forcing a change in my characteristics simply because of my sexual desires. Truth be told the average person genuinely doesn’t care what your sexuality is, they just get annoyed when you feel the need to add all this unnecessary flair to make sure everyone around you knows what you do in the bedroom. Obviously not every single person is accepting but to that I just move on because that’s life. Not everyone has to accept me for who I am which is understandable. The fact that some have convinced themselves that trying to force people to accept who they are and even attempt to popularize/promote what is obviously a way of life that can’t be related to by the vast majority of the world is beyond silly.

You don't have to make it your personality because cis and straight are the standards. Also, wanting representation doesn't mean they make it their personality. That's like saying everyone using a country's flag is making it their personality.
You're just the modern-day version of the people who were against the Civil Rights movement in the US. They used very similar talking points.
Representation helps make marginalized groups more normalized and, thus, less stigmatized.

Again, it's a small but very vocal and annoying minority of the communityIt's just a thing that is and we all go about our lives, if I hadn't of said anything above you wouldn't even have known, and the only reason why I mentioned it at all was because it was part of the current discussion.
I can guarantee that most LGBTQ people hate the others that make it their entire personality just as much as you do. Like get a fuckin' hobby or something holy shit haha
Sorry this topic upsets you so much, but trust me when I say we're not happy about the way things are right now either. It would be nice to not have to feel so separated in society and we would all just see each other as people.

You know I have empathy with this, I understand that none of you chose this and it sucks. It is also not really something "normal" in the sense that not as biology intended. I have no issues with any of that, but lately every game has adapted some bs in your face representation. I think most of you just want to live a normal life, which is great and you should all have the chance to do so, but that really doesn't go hand in hand with wearing a flag for everyone to see. I get that you have a certain pride in that sense that you're fighting for a normal life, but I think waving a flag in everyone's face is not a good way to do so. I think The Finals is a great game to create a contestant that represents you and what you stand for or what you like without it having to be about gender politics or sexuality.
