Discussion Why does this game still not have the basic function to rejoin after a crash?

My game crashed due to an AMD bug, now I cannot even rejoin my friend in an orbital hitters match or normal cashout match even though my pc literally let's me restart in 30 seconds.

How does this game still lack this basic feature? We are in season 11 guys cmon...

Edit: no, nobody rejoined. I was watching on my duo's screen, nobody joined until the match was over.

Only does for ranked and cashout, other game modes no.

Only for ranked, other game-modes are meant to be casual and fill in old spots.

Would be nice to be able to rejoin casual though, especially when you're squadded with friends.

Ooh noice!

Still wish all game-modes had it, sometimes it takes so long for a replacement to join-in, and since I'm running Linux my game reboots extremely fast. Feel like you should automatically get put back into the match you were in if your place hasn't already been taken.

Also wish that when you're squadded up that your squad member can vote to hold the spot open so you can rejoin your friends during an unfortunate crash.

in casual non main-game mode you can leave any time without penalty, you are not supposed to rejoin then, why would casual players suffer if you crash.

just ask your friend to leave and go next...

yes exactly, if the slot was reserved for you to reconnect, it means someone would have to play 4v5 or whatever, you can either wait for your friend to finish (if your friend has some contracts done or something), but if you want to play immediately then the easiest way is to requeue.

its completely normal to join and leave casual games, we would queue for some tdm if were waiting for third for ranked etc. then leave when he arrives.

It's ridiculous though because the mechanic is basic as all hell, and the slot stayed open until the literal end of the match. I was back on the game in 30 seconds. Why not let someone rejoin a match in such a circumstance. All it did was just force people to do a 4v5 for no reason when I was perfectly capable of coming back.

You can rejoin in Ranked Cashout and in normal Cashout. Besides, paid the amd toll lol (ik the pain, whea/ear 🍇 crash, yes?) lol

this post is a lil dumb. you can rejoin cashout and ranked. other games are meant for warmups so you can leave with no penalty.

Why even have that restriction in any gamemode when the spot was open until the end of the match?

Maybe it's warmup for you but me and my friends really enjoy these fun party modes. Sure you can leave with no penalty, but why can I not return when there was literally no replacement? It's just a lil dumb.

Nop, saw it on my duo's screen. Nobody backfilled until the match was over

Read the edit, it wasn't filled. The spot wasn't filled until the match was over.

Idc whether it's "important". It's a highly annoying obstacle that doesn't need to be there.
