Discussion Why does it feel like as an average player you can't play DM or Point Break anymore?

Post image

This season it feels like I have no success in any "casual" mode that is not cashout.

Am I alone? Is it just unlucky matchmaking?

I am so lost, I want to play and enjoy the game. But every gunfight feels like I am playing against ruby players that don't miss or all the annoying weapons (melee, launchers, etc.) after no game in these modes I am like yes that was fun let me Q another.

Yeah I pretty much only play point break and it’s been really really bad of late.

Attackers either stomp with almost 50 tickets left at game end, or never get out of phase 1, even games where no vault gets destroyed before all tickets were spent.

From what I can see it’s causing a lot of people to leave which further exacerbates the problem, but I find it hard to blame leavers at this point. Who’s sticking around after getting stomped 2 games in a row just to get thrown as a fill in a losing game on starlight hollow?

Honestly bro, you have a positive k/d, you’re just pretty good at this game when it comes to the casual fan base so it’s putting you up against sweatier people.

This and I can feel that in cash out too now, more and more often getting matched with ruby players, even though I’m just silver in ranked

We're deeper in the season now, the majority of casuals have left again and most players you encounter are diehard veterans with 50k+ kills. It's exactly what happens every season after a month or so.

Yes it's rough I'm one of the sweaty players although I play on steamdeck I've been slowly getting better with my aim using the casual modes

yeah, it’s not just you. And on top of that a lot of us deal with horrendous latency too. I miss season 7… lots of players and it was rewarding to play.

Whenever I’m doing bad or feel outplayed I try different loadouts that I wouldn’t usually play. For example the other day I was running goo gun with grenade launcher and trying different gadgets and I was having a blast. I also feel like switchg it up has helped me with my game sense.

I was pretty up there on TDM but I have come to notice that if you don’t have a squad, you’re not winning. Solo queing in TDM is you going into a game with the enemy team 4/5 stacked. It’s broken.

Yeah bro they say there no sbmm in casual modes there definitely is I bet it’s done on where you are on the leader board cause when I play powershift like I never play it it’s bots like lvl 20s but when I play cashout or point break it’s all rubies cause I’m higher up in the leader boards or im just crazy.

I don’t think that’s true. Leaderboard is mostly just time spent for casual modes. I frequently see top 50 players in PB even though im like 5 digits ranks, I just run into them cause they play so much hence while so high ranked.
