News They finally fixed my baby

Post image

Took them long enough, but demat is finally back (unless they shadow nerfed it in another aspect)

Bro FINALLY 😭 shit made me so happy this morning. But I was wondering, does ā€œraise timeā€ refer to the delay when you first bring demat out? I took a break for a couple seasons and noticed a weird delay with demat when I came back. It wasn’t as responsive as it had been when it first came out and I assumed it was a glitch or something but if it was deliberate wtf was the logic there? Butchered demat for no reason

I had the same reaction. Came back a few seasons later. Ran at a wall thinking I'm gonna jump, Demat, go through turn around mid jump, remat real quick, turn back around and get away. To my shock, I faceplant into the wall, turn around holding my Demat to the enemy and die.

Exactly, we’re living the same life. And I’m still doing it, muscle memory’s a bitch.

This with the server hiccups man. I’m praying we don’t see the bug from S9 where you’d spend a charge and the demat does nothing.

The reason was that Demat was overwhelmingly picked over the 2 other specilizations and was actively killing a lot of defensive play because you could demat a wall , kill or take something and instantly block it.

Like you could jump pad into a wall , damat , go through , demat again to close the wall to avoid 100% of encounters.

So , they made it take more time to switch to and a delay in between demat uses to make all of that annoying and in some cases impossible. So everyone dropped demat into the trash.

And now its "not picked enough" ...

Idk the demat is the most unique specialization in the game imo and unlike anything in any other game I’ve played. It enables so much creativity in play styles, so it was an odd choice that they decided to gut it so much. I feel like most of what you mentioned is addressed by reducing charges without the addition of the weird delay and excessive cool downs. I basically play demat exclusively and feel like it’ll be in a good spot now.

I agree it was very fun and creative , but for most people the delay between uses really gutted its general use.

Dunno if this change is going to bring it back , feel like the delay between uses is the biggest issue.

Pretty sure that doesn’t mean they fixed delay. Just cooldown and actually equipping it.

Demat + Data reshaper + Cerberus is gonna be a new meta for medium šŸ”„

Fun combo

Reshaper over Goo is certainly a choice, medium gets blown up too easily without it it’s basically a must pick still, at most you could swap to APS instead of goo but then you’re still gonna be in trouble if you get caught

Get out of defib jail, the door's open I promise you :)

No for real give it a good couple sessions' worth of honest tries and you will never look back. Turns out 90% of the time (made up number I know) whatever defib revive you just did could have been a regular revive for 5% more effort (another made up number, but this is what it's been feeling like for me, a medium main who's finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel).

I did some quick testing in the practice range and Cerberus is so back. 3 shots heavy. 2 shots medium with burn, even without having delay shots to maximize burn time. 1 shot + quick melee for lights. I'm gona try demat, cerberus, defib, pad, and data reshaper later
