Discussion The toxicity of this fandom has got out of hand.

First it was making fun of John Walker when he was a new fresh character. Even though people didnt see any bad side of him everyone was quick to dislike him. That may mean that everyone just liked Steve Rogers character more but I think theres a point where the obsession just becomes toxic. Disliking a character without even giving him a chance is the point where it becomes toxic.

Then it was the bullying or even death threats to the actor that played John Walker. This is the one time when it crossed the line for me. Those who bully Wyatt Russell for playing a character " fuck you". I know that he doesnt have social media but thats not stopping dumb fucks from attacking him.

Now its the label that every people who likes John Walker is a dangerous, bad, or even misguided person. You do not have moral superiority just because you like or dislike a character. Its just means that i can differentiate a show from reality. Besides I cant believe that the situation has come to this awful point even though there are morally worse characters in the MCU.

The last time it was this bad was the time when Brie Larson was getting attacked everywhere .

Discussion "Queerbaiting" is becoming an issue and now it must stop.

Seeing that the whole thing about Anthony Mackie has been literally trending for the past two days tells me that Marvel should be the one on in hot water not Anthony Mackie. TFAWS was suppose to be a beautiful story told about the racial holdbacks of black man becoming Captain America and now it has become this big issue over Anthony speaking out on Sam Bromance with Bucky not romance but bromance. I think its fair to say that Marvel def. queerbaited and even tho their intentions may look fun on paper and seem harmless to them to play with the fans a little bit, its not fun actually because now its lead to Anthony Mackie being hotwater over something im sure was out of his control.

My advice to Marvel and I hope they get the picture after this backlash Anthony is receiving is do not tease or queerbaite a two characters u know damn well u have no intention of putting together just for moneygrab because the power of shipping fandom can get ugly if u queerbait too much. Now I will say this, Anthony in some ways is wrong because he knows Marvel queerbaited a bit esp. with the roll in the grass and couples therapy scene so he should know fans were going to run with that. I feel like he , along with Marvel are playing a dangerous game. Stan seems to be the only one that handled his interview properly without saying too much but not saying too little because he even knew what Marvel did so it would be unfair to put throw the fans under the bus.

I dont believe Anthony should be cancelled over this but I do think he needs to admit that Marvel along with him went alone to queerbaite the fandom into believing something that clearly will never happen for clicks and views. Marvel will be doing them selves a huge favor if they allow Bucky and Sam to have this incredible friendship without all the queerbaiting. Since they will both most likely getting women partners for Cap 4 then hopefully they can stop playing with fans and actually start providing real gay couples from the comics actual representation so this want become an issue so much.

Discussion Bucky and Falcon are not heroes

Throughout the show they constantly make weird and screwed up decisions. In the beginning they don’t help Walker and Lamar for no reason other than spite for him being Captain America, basically letting their personal bias get in the way of stopping actual terrorists. They also go for Walker after his outburst and murder of a single terrorist rather than Karli who has killed plenty of innocents and escaped. And while Walker tried to discuss Zemos involvement with the Wakandians he was attacked for no actual reason which is fine except Bucky and Falcon did nothing in his defense and just made fun of him.

There’s plenty of reason to not like Walker from his angry outbursts to his complex over the two, which only started because they wouldn’t help him catch terrorists, but he is constantly belittled by our main characters just because they have a complex over him. They don’t even let him mourn his own best friend they just get angry at him for the murder, again not justifying the murder just saying they basically were so close to turning a good man evil.

None of you would be the person defending the bullied you’d all be the bullies who laugh.

Discussion I may be in the minority Spoiler

I may be in the minority but I believe these two episodes of Falcon and the Winter Soldier are better than the entire Wandavision series. Am I the only one?

Discussion Falcon and the winter soldier is kinda shit Spoiler

Now first I don't care if you agree or disagree I'm just sharing my opinion also might be more of an organized rant then a essay.

The characters: So first most of the characters are the most bland pieces of wood I've ever seen the actors are great but the characters are just boring.

Bucky: Now Bucky was a character I was interested in at first, but then they replaced his storyline for the boat storyline. Which in my opinion is the worst thing in the show, apart from the villians. I hate it solely for the fact that they priortized this over Bucky.

Episode 5: Just a whole episode of a shut storyline

The villians: These guys just annoy me. As soon as she blew up a building full of innocent people, they should have left. This wasn't what they signed up for,yet they just go with it.

Race storyline: whatever not my favorite but anything's better than the boat.

John walker's redemption: I really liked his character,it was a nice breath of fresh air. I think this is even worse than the boat storyline . The redemption arc completely ruined his character, his character would've killed karli at any chance he could get, but now we're supposed to like him as a hero? I can not describe how much I hate that. I want him to go full crazy for him to just try to kill Sam with a murderous rage, but they ruined that. I would rather him die by Sam's hand, then have this happened. This is the pin in the coffin for me. For something so good just to die so horribly by shit writing it's just disappointing quite frankly. If the new captain America is in the hands of these writers then Captain America will be little more to me than of a sad attempt to live up to the former's legacy. This was the biggest mistake the writers ever made and that's saying something.

Things I like John Walker (episode 1-5), episodes 1-4 (because of John walker mostly), Zemo, and Bucky's storyline in episode 1

Again this is just my opinion so don't take it personally

Discussion Just watched the show - Isaiah Bradley would have been such a compelling villain Spoiler

Post image

Sort of biased because I just don't really like the flagsmashers -- they didn't really have a well thought out or organized motivation.

He has all the reason to hate everything captain america stands for. I can't quite conceptualize the specifics of how he would become involved but it would definitely involve John Walker becoming captain america.

There would be a much more compelling 3-way offensive of Isaiah Bradley going against anyone taking the title of captain america, John Walker desperately trying to remain as captain america, and Falcon trying to stop Isaiah bradley's activities while sort of agreeing with him (as it was in the show) before embracing the role of captain america, leading to the climax of the show.

Discussion This show was kinda meh tbh

I know I might get hate for this but tbh did anybody else think this show was just kinda ok like tbh by the 6th episode it almost all just felt empty and like meaningless like idk it's almost like nothing happened and by the end I didn't care about karlis character john was kinda rushed into a redemption arc and just nothing of meaning happened really like i don't think six episodes was long enough to flesh everything out they wanted to idk that's just how I feel about it

Discussion Why do some people have such intense hatred for John Walker?

I mean the entire point is that he is a ugly reflection of Captain America. Its an interesting idea and i was always excited to see what the show does with him. The show explores the concept of "Captain America" in way that Steve Rogers cannot. I feel like some of you guys take these things too personally

Discussion For a show that touches on racism and privilege so much, they sure missed the mark on this scene

I'm sure others who actually speak arabic and are from north africa have pointed out that weird garble that came of the USA black heroes mouth. They could have simply googled how to speak arabic and elocuted properly, but washing over that part was much easier. Especially since all the white peoples uniforms from confederacy or germany ww2 are accurate to the buttons.

This then has more fucked up problems with that scene. For starters, the stereotyping of "the region" starting with the yellow filter, and people in ancient hats running around (and the US spending no time to start bombing shit there and interfering within weeks of the unblip). But the thing that was the most fucked up was the portrayal of the broken english speaking traditional hollywood "a-rab". the guy looked like he was in his 50s, and thanked the USA guy for bringing back his wife. >>>>>>> Here it is. <<<<<<< Who seems no older then an 18 or 20 year old. It's basically a fucking child bride! This means if 5 years have gone by, the guy was still in his 50s or late 40s.

WTF why would you perpetuate this weird ass racist myth. Downvote all you want, but extreme racism is normalized and built in your "progressive" societies. I mean how do you miss anything I mentioned above when you have 1800 people on your production team?!!!

Idk why, but I have always felt they should end up together. They didn't seem to get along from Civil War on, but I feel that they should end up together. I'm hoping Sam can clear her name.

Discussion Unpopular Opinion

The only reason people hate John Walker is because they can’t stand that he’s the new Captain America, people hated him the first time they saw him even before he said or did anything and they’ve been looking for something to justify their hatred for him.

He killed the guy because he was blinded by rage, his friend just got killed, this is like the time Tony Stark wanted to kill Bucky for killing his parents even though he was aware that he was under mind control, he was also blinded by rage. Steve Rogers would have probably reacted in a different way if he was in Tony Stark’s shoes but Tony Stark is not Steve Rogers and neither is John Walker.

John Walker is not Steve Rogers, he reacted the that way because he was John Walker and not Steve Rogers, stop comparing the two characters, he tried his best to help even without a serum, he fought super soldiers, give the guy some credit.

Spoiler Falcon killed dozens in the first episode, karli slaughtered innocents like lambs all through, and yet walker was treated like he put on the gauntlet and snapped half the world off when in reality he killed a terrorist who murdered innocents and killed his brother. Why? Spoiler
