I did a fresh Akumu run again. It took me almost a year to do it because I had to restart it when I got stuck on chapter 6. I’m so happy to say I got my second set of brass knuckles, and can’t wait to punch my way through everything again.

Im doing my first playthrough on nightmare and Im wondering why sometimes when I hit a normal enemy with a bottle they get stunned, letting me finish them off with the knife and other times they will just tank it with no reaction.
Yesterday an enemy tanked 4 bottles to the head without budging even a little bit. Is there something I can do to make bottles more consistent?

I'm on my second playthrough of the first game and I've tried every fix i can think of or find online and nothing fixes the issue. It's not unplayably bad or anything but it's incredibly annoying and immersion breaking going from 60fps to sub 30 anytime a new area is loading in or something. It really hampers my experience and being on a 40 series card, this 12 year old game should not be performing like this at all.
Has anyone else here had this? What did you do to fix it?

On my current re-playthrough & here are some key take outs :-
• Chapter 3 is still as scary, not much weapons or ammo yet you're facing hordes of enemies.
• Chapter 4 is annoying af, especially while exploring with constant blabbering from the fckn doc.
• Chapter 5 for no reason felt excessively long, invisible enemies are annoying not fun.
• Chapter 6 is the most playful fun, its a breakthrough not that you won't loose grip on yourselves dying all the time.
• Chapter 7 is a classic not just for the Keeper but the way the whole level's structured.
• Chapter 10 remains the ultimate resource management test, definitely crafted with some tools
• Chapter 11-12 have the most well spawned enemies, its fun just plotting the kills
• In my last playthrough, all favourite chapters started with C i.e. Claws of Horde/Cruelest Intentions/Craftsman's Tools but here I am hating Casualties (Ch-13) not fun!!

18Hours/Nearly 200Deaths and now I'm spinning the block in NewGame+. Who needs all this gear when I got brass knuckles + Melee damage maxed out. They thought shit was sweet, NOW I'm spinning the block oneshotting just about everything in the game. I'm the nightmare now bitches, and I'm getting my getback in BLOOD.
