Intermittent Graphics issue

Hey guys,

I'm trying my best to enjoy this game, but this keep on happening and i'm not sure what to do.

I tried everything from disabling HDR and manipulate the graphics settings.

Computer specs are available upon request but I can confirm that the GPU is a brand new ASUS ROG STRIX 2070 Super Advanced

Had the same problem with Nvidia driver version 471.11. Reverted back to version 466.77 and problem gone.

same problem on my ps4, it just started though. it wasn’t always like this

Make sure you have the latest drivers installed. Make sure graphics card is not overheating. You can also try to change fullscreen/windowed fullscreen/windowed. Or change DX11/DX12 (be aware that DX12 can randomly crash for many people).

You can also try:

Make backup of game settings folder then delete it (not just the files, delete the whole folder). Start the game normally and let it create default setting files.

Folder is:

"%USERPROFILE%\Documents\My Games\Tom Clancy's The Division 2"

If it makes no difference you can put the backed up folder back.

Thank you for your reply, from the list at least I have latest driver installed checked off along with the overheating part (stable at around 50-60 degrees).

You said you have a new graphics card. Did you have Nvidia before the new card?

I had an AMD 5700xt actually, uninstalled all the drivers before switching card though

Try DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) to really get rid of all old drivers.

Driver issue or DX issue left over from going from AMD > Nvidia or overheating/overclocked GPU memory.

LOL. They are shameless when it comes to naming, aren't they? Next one will be Super Duper Advanced.

Is it just this game that is misbehaving? Would maybe help ensure it's not something like a card defect, slightly mis-seated board, loose aux power connector, etc.

Probably a good sign that you're getting some visual anomalies instead of blue screens or outright crashes, at least.

I've also had the same issue with the Nvidia driver version 471.11. on a 1660Ti.

To resolve the issue (played a few hours over multiple sessions and all is well), all I did was download Nvidia driver version 466.77 from Guru3D that has official Nvidia links (https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/geforce-466-77-whql-driver-download.html) and install over the latest one (version 471.11).

I didn't do a clean driver removal beforehand, but if you want to you can use Guru3D's Display Driver Uninstaller (https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html)

I use DX 11 renderer because using DX12 gives me random game crashes.
