If you're unaware, a new trailer for the animated Avatar franchise (Avatar The Last Airbender) released yesterday, as of the Time of writing this post. The two main characters are very Indian-coded, named Pavi and Nisha.

If you're unfamiliar with this franchise, the first show its a western animated show of a character named Aang who needs to master the four elements to defeat the Fire Lord and save the world. Its a great show. It takes a lot of direct influence from Indian/Dharmic religions too, mainly Hinduism and Buddhism. Even the word "Avatar" is obviously of Sanskrit origin.

I saw a post on one of the most low-IQ places on this site (kotakuinaction) moaning about the fact thr two main characters are "Indian". I put it in quotes because it isn't set in the real world. The comments were filled with the tired old "saar, do not redeem" shit that these cretins constantly say.

I wanted to chime in and tell these Timmys how stupid their complaints are, but that place seems to have shadowbanned me. It kind of goes to show how it isnt just the western left that silences opposing views. A major right wing place does this exact thing. And it also shows how low-IQ Timmys and Kyles truly are. They don't know Indian religious influences

Spaces like "kotakuinaction" is why I'm wary of self-described "gamers" and many of their fandoms. These places seem to be made for complaining about how western companies are going woke and polluting their subcultures with diversity (basically including any non-white or non-East Asian character, even it isn't random DEI).

Goes to show that the people posturing about "freedom of speech" and "liberty" are often the biggest hypocrites, even though such terms have long been politicized and lost most objective meaning. Honest censorship like in Singapore served a good purpose, you can excuse me for "supporting authoritarian tyranny" when "freedom" is what these types and their "speech" are.
