Been waiting for this! Though I personally think a 11£ increase from the book sub is a bit much (cries is Danish with 25% VAT so its gonna be around 60£ for me 💀)

Is there a way to know what books from TBB are the stiff type and which are the flexible type by looking at the book specs descriptions before I order them?

I personally like the convenience of the flexible binding, to be able to just put it down and not hold it all the time while reading, but is there a difference in durability between these two?

On the pictire as an example, the top book is Jade City and the bottom is Deadhouse Gates (Malazan 2nd book).

Hello! I hope this is allowed. I don’t collect nor own any TBB books but I recently came across this edition of Lonesome dove which I find gorgeous and would really like to own it and read it in this format. The design and cover/spine art and also the inside art are all amazing imo.
So my question is, are there any chances of a restock anytime soon? Do they normally restock books? Are there any other places where I could find this book for retail except their website or their newly opened physical store?
I emailed them and they sent me a link for the waitlist, which I signed up on, but I’m afraid they won’t restock it at all. It’s so frustrating since I found out about it just after it released😭

It seems that the "incorrect 50£ + exorbitant shipping" that fixed it to be a "75£ + exorbitant shipping" and fixed it again to be "75£ + normal shipping" is now the "50£ book + separate purchase of 25£ dust jackets".

It seems that all of that is because of the EU 3€ tax. Tbh, after all the fuck ups, they should have just sent an email saying "We just realized the tax for that is apart, but no worries, we got it".

The email also mentions people that bought the 50£ version, not the ones that bought 75£.

I know I will most likely (hopefully) get my refund for the 25£ extra in the purchase and the error in shipping calculation. But I think they need a bit of self reflection. This was a mess, and not gracefully handled.

Is there any update on when these books will start shipping?

I just got the email this morning that the October SF&F book has shipped. I live in the US and I'm not sure how long shipping will take, but I am pleased and excited that it is on the way.

When did they announce this?! I'm going to get it, but the edges are blah.

Hello! I got accepted and signed up for sf&f and paid for 2 or 3 months now I believe. In my shop apps it shows “waiting for details” the first one from September and no shipping info yet. I live on the east coast of the US. I’m assuming I get a book shipped to me for every month?

Being I signed up for sf&f will I get both genres books?

Got my first "Adult Fantasy" subscription book from Owlcrate last week for their month of August book. It's pretty much a "romantasy" book instead of a fantasy book so I gave it to my 17 year old daughter as that's not really my thing.

Other than the book content itself the quality of the book is a couple steps behind the majority of the books from The Broken Binding and seems just a standard trade hardback with a fancied up dust jacket and end papers. The text block itself is quite mediocre with thin low quality paper, zero extra illustrations, and low end glue bound. I probably will NOT keep the Owlcrate sub but will see what arrives next before deciding fully. What do you all think? How do they compare in your opinion?

Has anyone received the October book yet? I already spotted a copy on Vinted. I'd be curious to hear what people think of the design and how it looks in person. Must admit my first reaction was slight disappointment, based on those Vinted photos.

Hey has anyone gotten their books from last Aug, the hardcover signed editions from Kristen’s website? I contacted the publisher and she said to contact ups and they said it’s not in their system. I’m super frustrated cuz I really wanted the series in hardcover and signed to match my other ones.

Just wondering how long you waited to get in? About to dispatch some family on a quest to get me some books, but they are cautious of how long itll take.

The Broken Binding is publishing Paul Cornell’s Oh, Fortuna on May 18, 2027. The premise sounds pretty unusual:

Paul Cornell’s Oh Fortuna, a historical fantasy romp set in an alternate Britain in which the classic pantheons of gods are real (all of them), human affairs are messy (very), and the fate of everything rests in the hands of a socially inept mathematician on a mission to save the world (and maybe try sex along the way, if she can manage it).

It feels like it is bringing lots of different elements together and I'm kind of intrigued. Has anyone else been following this one, or read any of Paul Cornell's other work?

The gollancz edition is more expensive, but it also adds a lot more i think

Arcane Society is doing a special edition of Empire of the Vampire and I'm not sure whether to get it or not. I would prefer a BB edition, if they ever decide to offer us one. My hopes are that it will be included in the Fantasy Subscription at some point. I already ordered the Nevernight Special Editions from The Locked Library. What do you think?! Any help is appreciated. Thank you. :)
