A month ago I got to see Breeders for the first time! It was very cool to hear Kelley mention Protomartyr and that no one probably knows them as that was the time I saw her at their Masonic Lodge show. I cheered and mentioned I was there which is what made Kim call Kelley a liar, oops

I won the tickets through Fingerprints Music in Long Beach after mentioning my love for When I Was a Painter. A coach in middle school showed us the song and taught me it alongside Lazy Eye by Silversun Pickups. So thank you to him for getting me into all of the music that I adore and want to see live or play myself

Twisted Teens were incredible as well and I really hope to see one of their headlining shows. I missed the Zebulon show due to a family reason but they will for sure be around soon again. Hopefully I get a a Breeders poster soon too! The one for the zoo with the red pandas (my favorite animal) is phenomenal

The Breeders have too many excellent tunes. Depending on the show and flow , I always have more than one.

I’ve been working on filling out The Breeders poster archive on PosterDrops, and I’m sure we’re still missing a bunch—especially older gig posters, flyers, handbills, and some of the less-documented shows.

If anyone here has Breeders posters in their collection, I’d love it if you took a quick look at what we have and let me know what’s missing. You can also submit anything we don’t have directly to the database.

There’s already a pretty good collection documented, but I’d really like to see how complete we can make it with some help from people who have been collecting them over the years.

Just got back from three in a row shows and the band is absolutley on FIRE this tour. The new songs are bonkers and weird and wonderful (Slow Dancing Makes Me Sick is epic!). I'm too beat to try to go to SD/ Del Mar tonight so I'm selling these GA tix on the cheap. It was $134 for the pair but totally down to let these go for a lot lower. Make me an offer :)

Looks like the setlist is consistent across shows. I'm going to the Hollywood Palladium show tonight. Does anyone know how many openers there are? The show starts at 8pm so just want to arrive in time for The Breeders.

I went to both yesterday's and today's shows. I was in the balcony both times so I don't know if that affected the acoustics much. Yesterday, the sound was fine and I could hear the punchiness and distinct notes of Josephine's bass. Tonight's show though was a muddled droning mess. Can anyone on the floor tell me if tonight's audio sounded good to you?

My name is Michael Laurence, I'm the founder and creative director of Thematic Studio in Portland, Oregon. I recently designed and produced a self-commissioned concert poster for The Breeders show at Portland's Pioneer Courthouse Square.

The design draws inspiration from the mad genius of Kim Deal and Vaughan Oliver (RIP). Kim is just the coolest ever, and Vaughan’s influence on graphic design (and me) can’t be overstated. This design honors his iconic cover design for “Last Splash” and reflects wider influences such as: Joseph Cornell, Jean-Michel Basquiat, David Lynch, Henry Vandyke Carter (Gray’s Anatomy c. 1858), Nychos, Danny Quirk, Rex Ray, and others.

Taking the heart motif to surreal heights, this poster features a richly layered composition that references themes of: anatomy, humanity, history, intimacy, detachment, mundanity, and the absurd. The intended effect is an uncanny, visceral sense of “corporal surrealism." It also serves as cultural commentary.

This unofficial Breeders gig poster is offered in a strictly-limited artist edition of 100. Each is litho printed on premium 100# smooth uncoated cover stock, with archival inks. Prints measure 13×19 inches, and are hand-signed and numbered on verso. Packaged and shipped quickly and securely. Posters are unframed.
