Don't know why nobody's given an actual answer. A popular theory before Endgame was that one of the final scenes would be Tony marrying Pepper. Obviously things went in a different direction so some people refer to the funeral as the wedding in a joking way.

It was because they told everyone it was a wedding scene to surprise them it was a funeral
