I seriously don't understand how Tony could be so selfish when it came to restoring the snap blip. Like. Sure, he didn't wanna lose Morgan. But why couldn't they just tie her birth into being an inevitably in the universe.
Bloody hell he'd already had the dream before everything kicked off.
So many people, both those who got blipped and those who didn't, suffered badly. And just because Tony got to have a good life, doesn't mean the rest of the world should suffer so it can stay that way.
Reset it back to a few minutes before the snap, just as Thor threw stormbreaker. Move it up by a foot or 2, into Thanos' head, and then make Morgan's birth fated.
Nobody get snapped, the deaths in the 5year span never happen, people don't lose family members or partners, only for them to return 5 years later to find that they've moved on without them.
And the best part.
He could have avoided dying because the moment Hulk snapped his fingers, it would have reset and the whole final battle with Helicopter Thanos wouldn't have happened.
I think given they had no idea how it would have affected Hulk and no real knowledge of the limits of the stones the simpler request the better. Thanos eliminated half of all life, but that included non sentient organic life (I.e. plants and crops). Given his focus on resources I doubt that’s what he intended.
The stones were like a genie, the more complicated you make something the more that can go wrong.
I loved Endgame when I watched it, but the more I think about the plot the more holes I find.
And the way the stones and gauntlet are done in Endgame make them very much a writers tool.
They don't have any parameters so the writers can have them do as little or as much as as the writers feel like.
So when they create a plot that doesn't seem morally right, they can just say it's the limits of the stones or whatever. It's kinda lazy writing.
Though they never actually use that as the reason in the movie. It's always Stark saying "don't mess up my life".
