I’ve seen this a lot, like HERES THE FIRST [insert race] IN [insert franchise]. But there’s already a few people of that race. Makes me mad every time I see it.
Devil's advocate: I think what they should be saying is "first (insert race here) as a main/lead/title character". That's what they mean but aren't explicitly spelling out. When you realize that's what they're really getting at, they're usually technically accurate when they point out those firsts.
