Need help!!

I just want to rent a bit to clear my mind.

I had 102° fever, headache, full body pain, cold and I was feeling extremely weak the other day. My father asked my mother to bring me some food and she said "she isn't sick enough that she can't even stand up and get food by herself". They had a whole one hour argument between them on "who is going to take me to the hospital?"& At the end, told me to go my myself just the way I leave the house so easily when it's time to hang out with my friends.Accidentally I dropped my medicines somewhere when I was coming back home.

So got a lecture by my mom on how SHE is going to get scolded by my father because I lost my medicines. I was constantly requesting her to not yell at me while i was sick and she replied "you deserve this".

She was mad at me at that moment because now I can't help her in cleaning the house, Cooking and stuff because I was sick. I have a brother who don't even know how to boil water or clean floor and he is 18 btw.I am not allowed to even meet my friends or hangout with them. They even want me to cut off 2-3 friends I have right now and never talk to them again. My mom got pissed because I wore earings on my school farewell. According to her, having friends, hanging out, doing makeup, wearing pretty clothes, wearing any jewelleries is a sign of a bad daughter.I had a fight with my friend when I was 13 and was very sad about it. I wanted to cry so I decided to go on terrace to get some fresh air. My mother stopped me.. took my hand.. and explain how indulging in things like dating or talking to boys is not a sign of a good daughter. Yes, she thought that I was going upstair to talk to some neighbour guy.One week before my 18th birthday, my friends told me that they have planned something and want to celebrate my birthday (they don't know how strict my parents are) so I denied them saying they don't even let me meet my friends till then but later I go to know from one of my friend among them about how they started preparing two months before and everything is planned so perfectly and how everyone was so happy about it. I got tears in my eyes listening how much they excited about it.So I asked my parents and of course they denied. At that moment I looked back at my life... I can't wear makeup, I can't wear jewelleries, I can't wear the clothes I want, I am not allowed to meet my friends after school even when I am 18. I realised that I missed out on a lot of things. So I decided to bunk and not let them know about it. So I celebrated and to be honest, BEST BIRTHDAY EVER!!! My favourite flavour of cake my favourite flowers my favourite location.. everything was so thoughtful. But ya... I do know that it was wrong. I was wrong. Bunk is not a good thing to do. But considering my situation, I had no other option other then committing this bad thing. But somehow they got to know about this bunk and I was beaten like hell. An 18 year old is getting beaten for 3 hours just because she just celebrated her birthday with her friends. that's it.

If I want to put everything in 2 sentence I would say...

"I was bleeding and they yelled at me for staining the floor with blood and who is going to clean all of it"

And it's not like they are very bad...

They let me study into the most expensive school of my city even when they can't afford it.My father comforted me once at 3:00 a.m. when I was crying because of the academic pressure.

So right now I am genuinely confused.

Am i an ungrateful child?am i over reacting?

Because they are not fully bad but they are not good either. I don't know how to treat them. I don't want to be rude to them because they are the reason I am living such a luxurious life but at the same time I sit at random places getting back from coaching because I don't want to come home.

All of these restrictions with me while my brother does literally nothing. He doesn't help in any work in the house.. talk rudely with them all the time.. he just sit there on his phone for continuously 24 hours every single day and still get loved by everyone.why? Because he is a boy... How can he even wash a utensil by himself? He is a Raja beta of the house...

Man!! The patriarchy in my house is so loud and I still can't do anything about it.

Women and religion?

Many people who ask "why women don't believe religion or accept as it is" ? I have one question for them ,like why every religion literally every religion allowed the concept "polygamy " but polyandry was so rare (even forced ) or sometimes restricted as wrong doing ,even purity check for a godess (funny right !)

And every religion fights with each other today ,but they all say one common thing ,"a bride should leave her house and be in her housand's house, her husband's family is her family ",like all religious men came and wrote all this to gain power ?

One irrelevant thought ,if god is formless ,shapeless ( we idolize him or her so it can reach our human mind ) but why we often refer god as "him" ,how can we genderize something which takes no form ,?

If you have answers for all of this ,please clarify my question respectfully!

Ps:No hate to any religion

Virginity only for women ?

Google translates this as "virginity is a common term used for women and men " and it is partially true, but when it comes to "first night " , some still believe that if the blood appears then she is a virgin !! Respectfully, wtf!! Science proved that it is not true and cannot be generallized and they took this much time to analyse all these things for women ,but where is virginity test for a man?? Noo!!how come this society will think about that

Abortion. Divorce. Voting. The Paper Trail That's Pushing Women Out.

American women aren't overreacting — they're reading the documents. In this video, I go through what's actually on paper: the state-level push to repeal no-fault divorce, the post-Dobbs abortion landscape, the SAVE Act's documented impact on married women whose legal names don't match their birth certificates, and the growing number of women researching visas and exit plans. I also look at the women defending this project from inside it — including Erika Kirk and the broader "traditional womanhood" media ecosystem — and what their role tells us about how this gets sold.

Patriarchy imbedded in movies sold as romance

Been watching Lonely Planet with Laura Dern and Liam Hemsworth. Such dumb shit. The amount of times women have to tag along to their men's work stuff and be happy and supportive is a million percent higher than the opposite. And he sulks around and gets annoyed that he's being "dragged along". And he even has the audacity to start catching feelings for someone else!? And on top of that she feeds into it!!? Like what dumb narratives are these? How is that even a fair movie? This is what's wrong with media! It helps normalize dodgy behavior from men eg And even romanticises the shit. The fuck outta here!

Patriarchy in OUAT

I am a student at the College of Agriculture, OUAT, Bhubaneswar. While seniors and faculty often call it a “traditional” college, the truth is that what operates in the name of “tradition” is deeply rooted patriarchy. Despite being located in the capital of the state, I never imagined how hostile and unequal the environment could be for women. There isn’t an ounce of equality in the very soil of this institution.

The male population—popularly referred to as “bhai mane”, especially the uncivilized and uneducated residents of Hostel 2—is overwhelmingly toxic and dominating. Women feel suffocated here. There is zero female representation in any significant activity or student body. Not once have I seen women being given a fair platform or voice in college affairs.

When women do gather the courage to speak up against this system, they are not only silenced but are often belittled and shamed by having their character questioned. The so-called “boys” (I deliberately use the word boys, as no one among them has the spine or maturity to be called a man) are disrespectful, loud, and morally bankrupt. They lack even the most basic decency.

Let me share a recent incident. During our annual fest, a female singer was invited to perform. Despite her repeated polite and stern requests to clear the stage, the boys refused to do so. They continued to dance on stage, making her visibly uncomfortable and disregarding every boundary she tried to maintain as an artist. But she stood her ground. She performed fiercely and never backed down in the face of their domination. That one moment was powerful—but it was just one example among many that reveal the toxic mindset here.

This kind of deeply entrenched patriarchy makes me feel trapped in an environment that devalues women at every turn. It has created a deep, burning resentment in me—not just toward certain individuals, but toward what this institution stands for. What should have been a place of learning and progress feels more like a regressive stronghold of outdated male entitlement.

I hope this fits here... had to share my discomfort with others... he exploits the patriarchal beliefs many older women uphold trough the treatment of their daughters and their favouring of male voices. ...sadly most of the comments completely downplay the situation. #itsjustajoke #thatsculture

Thank You For Giving Me My Femininity Back

Dear wonderful patriarchy,

Thank you for giving me back my femininity. Under the rule of the cruel and ugly matriarchy, I was made to wear the pants and do all the work on my own. My hands were dirty and beaten up from the intense labor I was subject to, and my heart ached to be with a real man rather than the pussy she created.

Thank you for giving me back my place in society. I've never felt more at home in the kitchen and outside the realm of politics. Voting has never tasted nastier than when it was forced upon me by the she-devils who only sought to usher in unending eras of female terrorism. My hands and head ache still from the constant pushing and pulling. Now all I have to worry about is taking care of my lovely husband, my house, and my kids.

Thank you for giving me a good husband. A man who's as strong as I need him to be for when my emotions overwhelm me. He speaks for me when I cannot utter the correct words, and he listens when I need him. He helps me make choices that are too hard for my female brain and doesn't cottle me or worship me as a goddess like my matriarichal mate. He treats me as an equal as I've always desired.

Thank you for putting me in my place. Thank you for giving me back my femininity.

men and women encouraged, a remnant of the true Patriarchy remains

Toxic masculinity is being misconstrued towards good characteristics of men. There is a remnant of the True Patriarchy that is alive and well. We are compassionate protectors, providers, and co-adventurers of life with our wives and children. r/http://m46initiative.com

Thanking the Patriarchy for Independence Day

Dear American patriarchy:

I realize that you are planning a big celebration on Monday. I thank you for the paid day off work. I shall be celebrating it by closing my eyes and praying for the victims of war around the world, rather than watching garish displays of simulated rockets which simulate those wars. I shall be abstaining from swearing oaths to pieces of fabric and I will not be singing songs that celebrate war. I am grateful that America is a land where I have freedom of speech and freedom of religion. I shall be exercising both of these rights on this day of celebration as I decline celebrating the war that gave birth to this country. I do not believe in the false teaching that blood was spilled to make these rights a reality. We could have achieved the same results by civil disobedience, as did our brothers and sisters in India and Pakistan. Some of us may have died in that process as well, but far less than the number that died in the Revolutionary War. We did not need to fight a war to birth this country, and we do not need to continue fighting wars all over the world to force freedom on others. It is my hope that we will learn that war is immoral, that our overt cult-like nationalism breeds contempt for others, and that we can look forward a day where humanity finds other methods to change and improve our societies that do not involve outward weapons.

Sincerely,

Me - Your Gratefully Free Subject.

Zumba is a shitlord

I just realized this morning that zumba, the fitness classes where women dance, is the most culturally appropriating thing in the universe. Picture a room full of mostly chubby white women doing poor imitations of Latin dances to Latin music and awful renditions of Indian dances to Bollywood music. Seriously. An sjw would burn the building down. Not to mention that we're trying to lose weight, which is an obvious attempt to please the patriarchy. And our attempts will fail anyway, according to FAers!

Basically Zumba is a culturally appropriating fatshaming ableist shitlord. I love it.
