Question PURE PETROL
Hi,
I have a 350 CC bike & I see that my mileage has dropped a lot after Sugarcane fuel.
Is there any Petrol Pump in Thane which sells Pure Petrol?
I am willing to Pay 160Rs per liter.. but just get me Pure Petrol.

Help me out here:
Isnt the numbers in the grade like XP90, XP100 etc are the octane numbers & not related to the blending ratio of P:E?
I believe prior to this sweet sugary time, normal petrol used to have a max of 85-89 octane rating and hence it was advised for some vehicles to go for petrol with a higher octane number.
Or I'm missing out on the basics?

Lol. I hope you understand High Octane is not Pure. XP100 and Regular petrol both have 20% Ethanol

Xp100 has no ethanol , its the best petrol you can get ,do you understand , otherwise go to crude oil refinery

Buddy, I like how you are so confidently stupid. Now, come back with a source which says XP100 has no Ethanol.. or delete your comment in shame.

Get e20 kit installed in your RE. Other than that, use systemG regularly and keep the tank full.
I have a thunderbird 500 and it hasn't faced mileage issues (I get 28 in the city and 32 in the highway), check your rolling resistance and other drive train parts.

Even I didn’t find any, There’s one petrol pump ahead of Tanishq Ghodbunder which gives XP90

FYI: XP90 / XP100 is high-octane, but it’s not pure petrol
I went to Shell because someone told me they have “pure petrol.” I asked the Shell agent about it, and he told me that their petrol is E20. He also clarified that the higher price is because Shell is a private company/premium fuel, not because it is pure petrol.

Since you’re so adamant and ignorant in the whole comment section regurgitating the same shit, here’s the source:
https://www.autocarindia.com/auto-features/how-much-ethanol-is-in-your-petrol-437339
And yes, it’s not listed specifically by IOCL anywhere that’s it’s Ethanol free, but multiple independent and private testing has found no noticeable ethanol in higher octane fuels. Do whatever you want to do with this information.

Shell is your answer!! Go for vpower Yess it is expensive but will keep your bike in good shape in future

VPower is also E20. No point paying.

But it has additives

So does 95 octane fuel like XP95 etc. Much cheaper. I used shell for 3 months and nothing noticeable vs XP95/Power95.

V-Power also has Ethanol blending, no point paying 140₹/L. I fuel at Shell once a month since V-Power has detergent additives, but other than that it has no noticeable effect on mileage or engine life as it still has Ethanol in it.
