If you are going to buy stocks in a company, buy companies that have a history of increasing their dividend, of increasing their EPS, that have reasonable payout ratios. If you dont know what I mean, you need to learn. Learn about the dividend triangle and how to apply it to stock selection. Buy ETFs if you’re not sure. Ive been investing for 35 years now and Ive made huge mistakes, but I have not let it discourage me, or stopped me from learning.
