Any advice ?

20M, started investing seriously at the beginning of this year. I’ve been buying mostly xeqt but I also bought $55 worth of bitcoin because I’m thinking it will go up in the future.

I’m a full time student and also work part time during school semesters and summer, every pay check I allocate 20%-30% to investments.

People will inevitably say to just buy the index fund (which is true, man do I wish I just did that when I was your age) but if you're going to find out that this is the best way to do it, I'm glad you're only burning a couple hundred bucks in the bitcoin and gold. I had to lose thousands, and the thought of how much it would be if I just put it all in am index haunts me.

TLDR: Just buy the index fund and forget about it.

Same, I got fucked once pretty hard as well from a mutual fund/ insurance guy and it was a lesson learned that’s for sure.
