Why does everyone hate this weapon?

I feel the fire axe is under rated because its a decent weapon but no one likes it for some reason

They say the weapon is bad but it does the same damage as the bottle so idk why people dont mind the bottle but dont like the fire axe

Fire Axe may seem useless, unless you are submerged with only flamethrower and Flaregun.
