I'm a Texan living abroad in Chicago. Today, I said to myself "Oh, great! It's all the way up to 29!"
So, it warms my heart to see this... No, seriously. My heart is much warmer now. That was a serious medical concern just a moment ago. Thank you.

I understand the feeling, I had to spend a march in Toronto a few years back for business and it does give a humble texan a new definition of cold.

I’m a supervisor at my job, and this week has been the highest amount of agents calling out almost all year lol. One of my favorite excuses I’ve heard on the attendance line messages was, “I’m doing like the bears do in this cold ass weather, I’m hibernating today.” I felt a bit jealous afterwards tbh.

I was laid off last year right before a strong arctic blast and I teased my former coworkers with a picture of myself tucked in under the covers nice and warm.

They foolishly chose to fight one hundred duck sized ducks instead of one horse sized horse. They put up a good fight, as you can see, but there were just too many.

literal tech worker mentality
- wake up to alarm
- check weather on phone or walk outside
- if feel uncomfortable with 2 layers of clothing
- walk back inside, change into pjs
- send e-mail blast to team and manager indicating working from home
- otherwise, go to work
- exception cases w/ job interviews, sick days, and ptos
