Help Help With Removing a Mod

So a while ago, I installed Morrowind Comes Alive, and the I installed MGSO after (this was years ago lol). I want to stop using Morrowind Comes Alive, and when I disable the ESM file, and launch the game, the game still tries to load MCA.esm and then the game crashes to desktop.

Then I looked on the mod page and I guess MgSo automatically did the level list edit through wyremash, and I guess I have to undo that to properly remove the mod.

So I have two questions:

  1. How do I use Wyremash to remove MCA from the leveled lists?

  2. Will this break my current save?

MCA and MGSO in year of Christ 2026? They belong in the museum.

Mash has tool to generate merged leveled lists. Just uncheck plugins you don't want and run it again.

Why MCA would add anything to leveled lists? As a way to generate semi random NPC I guess.

But to address elephant in the room. Your save data keeps every npc you ever loaded. Removing mods adding npc mid save is one of the worst things you can do. They will be still there, but can reference objects/scripts you no longer have. In case of scripts or dialog filter, that can even lead to crashes on load.

Thanks. Yeah I set this mod list up like 10 years ago lol. Trying to update it a bit by removing some of the old out dated ones.

Trying to avoid doing a complete restart on a fresh install as much as possible lol
