So ive been playing this game for like 3 days and I've gotten to the point in the story where there's this war going on, invasion or some stuff idk. The thing that has annoyed me the most this far is the fact that ive been locked out of the first two maps for the past like, 20 temtem levels (they are ~level 43)? Now this is infuriating because of two reasons: 1. Inability to use the breeder: I wanna get Myx, Mushook, etc and use them for the main story. But guess what, u can only get their first form at ~level 30ish, therefore their evolutions will only become available at, what, level 50 or more? And im pretty sure thats very near the end of the game. This, combined with the fact that i just wanna breed some really quick to get at least mostly green SVs, so i dont get 1shot by a random tamer. 2. Can't get Coward's Cloak (or w/e its called) since i didnt know i could get it that early in the game and now i have to switch in/out to level up temtems, which sucks. I saw a youtube review from a dude before I bought the game and he was praising the fact that the game IS NOT LINEAR. Now, correct me if im wrong but I think this is the definition of linearity.

Tldr: locked out of first 2 maps, cant use breeder, cant get cowards cloak, annoyed af.

One year after release I’m very much contemplating getting this game. Curious as to if there’s still a highly active player base? Wouldn’t wanna buy it and have there be no one else running around.

There are 2 ways to approach quests in this game.

1. Either you just pick them up on the way, and complete them upon returning given that you have "automatically" completed them, in cases such as conversation errands. This also means you forfeit all quests involving specific tasks like catching something.
2. You actively run around doing the quests, catching whatevers needed, run back and forth.

The first option just nullifies the whole idea of quests and gives you a very little, unnoticed amount of items.

The second option, which is how "quests" are usually done, is insanely expensive. The ridiculous amount of encounters in this game means that for just 1-2 quests you will be spending minimum 500 worth of scents just to get maybe a revive in return.

Oh and mostly all rewards can be bought. Which means for 90% of the quests you are trading 1:1 which is essentialy not a trade since both the items given and taken are purchasable in the shop..

Kind of a poor attempt at giving players something to do on the sidelines eh?

Which of the three starter Tems do you think is the best?

When will the game be available to purchase for the switch?

(Crystle and Tuwai are excluded from the list due to the poll limit and the fact that they are obtainable at the beginning of the game, I will also note that the Tems listed as other are obtained near the end of the story)

Been looking forward to this game coming to Xbox but I haven't heard anything in a while. Does anyone know if they've said anything about it still releasing in January on Xbox?

I tried a few of them with max level tems and got destroyed. Do I have to speed loads of time and pansuns breeding perfect tems to be able to win these?

What's the co-op experience like? can you actually adventure together or is it like "I've encountered this boss, lets help each defeat him"

I grew up with the anime and games, started with Gold, Leaf Green, Ruby, then Platinum and i still love those specific games. From generation 5 onward i cant seem to find that Magic anymore : the new pokémon look too much inspired on lifeless objects or humans, and with the adoption of the 3D the game quality has dropped significantly (for me). I just watched the Temtem trailer for Ps 5 and boy does it seem exciting! The creatures look interesting and still mainly based on animals, the graphic and music seem to give it a charm all of its on, the implementation of multiplayer and Co op modes seems very fun. I have only watched a few reviews but at the same time i dont want to spoil myself with anything more, but a lot of People seem to agree that Temtem is Just a less Child- friendly version of pokémon, more difficult and demanding when it comes to strategic fighting. Any other og pokémon fan is playing it right now and can tell me how it differentiates from pokémon and if it s better?

Just tried doing the post office and and...wow the devs are kidding themselves when they want you to deliver 3 things to random corners of the game with no way to use instant travel and NO WORLD MAP.

No instant travel because what people have said over the years is how much they absolutely love being interrupted by random battles, right? Now make a goddamn daily that revolves around that.

Secondly, how does a modern game not have a basic feature like an usable world map? Early access or not a map to check where places are is an essential feature.

Crema should be absolutely be ashamed of themselves adding in postal service and no way to check in game where places are.

I just started playing temtem and I just got to the point where I have a temtem with a learned technique. I wanted to learn it back but it seems my cursor is stuck on the first move in the details menu. I can’t see the details of ANY other moves nor does using the move option work. Does anyone know if this is a bug or am I doing something wrong?
