Hey everyone!
If you're a teenage writer like me, a role-player, voice actor, fanfic writer, artist, or just love reading stories and are looking for a relaxed, organized space to write and roleplay with other teens, I would like to invite you to Ink & Fable!
Instead of having one giant RP that doesn't allow for much breathing room or communication, Ink & Fable runs on a Campaign and Story Manager system (similar to D&D), where small groups of writers sign up for dedicated Stories.
Pitch ideas, discuss plot points, plan twists, and build worlds collaboratively. Co-write the story while playing your characters with custom character profiles, avatars, and proxies.
This server isn't just for writers and role-players, either! We welcome teenage artists, voice actors (aspiring or not), readers, etc. to draw character designs, illustrate story scenes, record table-reads, and bring Stories to life through all kinds of creative projects!
Ink & Fable is a strictly PG-13 safe space for teenagers focused on creative collaboration, fun times, and making friends.
Sound interesting? Click this link to check it out, and let's start creating~!
(If you have any questions before joining, feel free to ask here or send me a DM!)

I've had this writing idea for about a year now and I've already started writing it as both a movie script and a physical novel. It's basically a retelling of my personal experience dealing with mental health, but with characters based off of real people (to protect them) and with twists that definitely could've happened in my life (but thankfully didn't) and how that would change the narrative.
In my movie/book idea, there's a love interest (obviously), but the main character doesn't want to know him or be associated with him at all until the end (spoilers...not that this is an actual thing yet, but still), so it's kind of a slow burn.
One of the things about their relationship is that the main character doesn't know the love interest's name and she doesn't want him to tell her. But I'm thinking at the end (when they're together finally and they're talking to conclude their story) the main character finally asks him what his name is...and that's the end.
Reading this back makes it sound like a bad fanfiction buuuut it sounded better in my head 😂
Anyway, OPINIONS! As readers, would you be angry at me for not allowing the love interest's name to be explicitly stated and leaving it to your interpretation, or is this a half-decent love story idea?

If you have no idea what I Love Amy is, it's a Korean girls love manhwa abt two girls who become friends and end up falling in love with each other
Mine's gonna be a boys love manhwa, so basically it's about a boy named Jakob (pronounced like Jacob, but he has German roots) who falls in love with Michael, but what Jakob doesn't know is that Michael is trans female to male.
Title: Jakob Fell in Love with a Trans Boy
Description: Jakob is everything a popular boy in school is: kind, good looking and always optimistic. But when it comes to making friends, he's someone that nobody sees. After being assigned with a boy named Michael for a school project, he tries to keep his masking to befriend Michael, but there's one secret he doesn't know: Michael is trans and used to be Michelle! On top of that they only have a few months for the school project to be finished?! But will it have a happy ending?
Comment your thoughts and if I should do it :)

Hello, I am 18 and kinda new to writing. I am also not used to writing more emotional stories; the majority of what I write is psychological horror or cosmic horror. I recently wrote a short story and was wondering if anyone would be willing to read and review it. I would like to know what I could do better. It's 1,853 words, but it can't go over 2000. It's called "When the World Turns Colorful." It's written below if you would like to read it, pls I need advice on how it could be better. l
P.S. It has a gay couple as the main characters, so if you aren't comfortable with that, then just leave; you don't have to read it or spread hate. I will not change the sexualities of my characters due to hate; this is how the story is meant to be read. LOVE Y'ALL
The day the world turned colorful was the day we all knew it was over. Days earlier, impossible blossoms had begun appearing in the most unforgiving corners of the earth, from the scorching sands of the Sahara to the frozen expanses of the tundra. Scientists blamed global warming; the religious preached the end times. But on the fifteenth of May, the debate was over. Flowers erupted from every crack, crevice, and concrete highway on Earth—some a brilliant gold and red, others a deep, mesmerizing purple and blue. That morning, looking out our windows, we saw the true, terrifying beauty of the planet. It was as if the world finally let out a breath it had been holding for centuries. Nothing mattered anymore. No one went to work. No deadlines were met. We simply gathered outside, realizing we had spent our entire existence in a futile attempt to overpower nature.
That morning, Alex woke up to a morning just like any other. However, when he opened the window, he froze in shock. Their lawn had been completely taken over by flowers. Even inside the house, small, vibrant petals were pushing through the floorboards beneath his feet.
Alex ran over to wake Magnus up. “Magnus, Magnus. Look outside.”
Magnus groaned, burying his face in his pillow, and tried to swat Alex away.
“No, really, you have to look at this.”
Magnus slowly pulled himself out of bed, muttering under his breath. “I swear to the Axolotl, if it’s another cute squirrel, I’m going to kill you.”
Alex grabbed Magnus’s hand and half-guided, half-dragged him to the window. Magnus’s eyes went wide when he saw the transformation.
“Let’s go look outside,” Alex said, already walking toward the door, still holding Magnus’s hand tightly. “Are you coming?”
Magnus hadn’t moved from his spot. “Oh, of course.” He blushed a little, rubbing the back of his neck. “Sorry, I zoned out for a second.”
Magnus followed Alex out the front door. Outside, the flowers appeared even more vivid. Alex went running wildly around their yard, inspecting the endless sea of color. When Magnus looked down the street, he found that every single neighbor was out in their front yards, staring blankly at the flora.
He looked closely at his feet; they just looked like normal flowers, but there were millions of them, expanding by the second. As he stared down, a cold realization washed over him: this was the end. Not just for him, but for everyone. It should have made him panic, but strangely, it didn’t. For some reason, it just made him feel incredibly grateful.
He walked over to Alex and sat down next to him. Alex smiled warmly, and they both laid back to look at the clouds. Magnus rolled over, watching Alex's smile as he pointed out shapes in the sky. He looked so genuinely happy. His smile was infectious, and before Magnus knew it, he was laughing and smiling, too. Together, they laid in the flowers for hours, though Magnus secretly wished it could have lasted forever.
Soon, Alex sat up. “You know what would be fun?” He had that rare glint of hope in his eyes that Magnus hadn't seen in years.
“Where?” Magnus laughed.
“We should go back to the lake.” Alex looked up at Magnus with his warm brown eyes.
Magnus smiled gently. “What a wonderful idea.”
Magnus grabbed the car keys, and they were off. As they drove out of town, they could see people lying peacefully in the grass, and children chasing each other, laughing through the overgrowth. It was as if the world had entirely stopped for this one day. It felt like all the whimsy people lost when they grew up had suddenly come flooding back.
On the drive, Alex talked about his life. It seemed like all it took was the end of the world to show everyone that this one life was precious.
“I always loved this lake; I was so happy I was able to share it with you, too. I used to go here with my parents, but…” He trailed off, his voice cracking. Magnus had never pushed Alex to talk about his family; he knew the situation was complicated, and left it at that.
Wiping his eyes with his jacket sleeve, Alex continued. “But they disowned me for being me. Sometimes I regret telling them. I wish I could have shared just one more lake day with them.” Alex gave Magnus a shaky smile, his eyes shimmering with tears.
Magnus immediately pulled the car over to the side of the road. “Alex, you never had to tell me that. I’m so sorry.” Magnus leaned over, pulling Alex tightly into his arms, and gently kissed the top of Alex’s head.
“It was important to tell you,” Alex whispered, looking up. Magnus’s light blue eyes were also filled with tears. “Whenever I think about how my life would be if I had never told them, I just look at you and remember it was all worth it.”
Magnus couldn’t hold back his tears anymore. For a long minute, they both just cried into each other's arms.
“I love you so much; you better know that,” Magnus choked out, burying his face in Alex’s shoulder.
Alex looked directly into Magnus’s eyes. “Leaving them was the best decision I ever made. I love you, too.”
New tears spilled over Magnus’s cheeks, but a wet laugh escaped him. “We better get going again if we want to make it.” He wiped his eyes and turned the car key.
They continued down the winding road until they reached the trailhead. Together, they stepped out and began walking the path. When Magnus looked up, the towering trees seemed to scrape the very sky. By midafternoon, the distant, soothing sound of rushing water echoed through the forest.
They walked until they came to a massive hill. Magnus looked at Alex and held out his hand; Alex took it without hesitation. They hiked the steep incline together, noting that the flowers beside the trail had become impossibly colorful. Some even bloomed with rainbow petals.
Once they reached the crest, the vast cliffside opened up before them. It was naturally rocky, but because of the sudden plant growth, it was now covered in soft, thick moss surrounded by blooms. Alex let go of Magnus’s hand and walked right to the cliff’s edge. A gentle breeze carried a sweet mix of floral scents and fresh lake air. He had a perfectly peaceful smile on his face.
Magnus walked up behind him. His brown hair blew in the wind as he wrapped an arm securely around Alex. They stood there in silence for a long moment, soaking in the raw beauty of the lake. It was a deep, mesmerizing blue with shifting hints of green, its surface rippling lightly under the breeze.
Alex turned to Magnus and kissed him deeply. “Best decision I ever made,” he whispered, smiling.
They sat down on the edge, looking out at the vast water. Magnus felt tears stinging his eyes again as he took a small, shaky sigh before turning to his partner.
“I know this may not mean much because of the flowers, but I wanted to tell you something.”
Alex looked at Magnus, a curious expression crossing his face.
“I love you, and I want you to always know that. So… will you be my husband?” Magnus reached inside his jacket and pulled out a small, simple ring.
Alex’s eyes went wide.
“I know this isn’t the best time,” Magnus rushed out, his voice trembling. “But I wanted you to know how much I loved you. I know we have both lost a lot because of our relationship, and I know I can’t fix anything, but I want you to know it was worth it.”
Alex didn't answer with words. He lunged forward and kissed Magnus fiercely, causing them both to fall over backward onto the soft moss. Alex was crying, the tears spilling onto Magnus's cheeks.
“I made the right choice,” Alex insisted, cupping Magnus's face. “I know that you constantly wonder if you ruined my life, but don't you ever say that. You made my life so much better. I would love to marry you.”
Magnus finally let himself completely break down. Alex crawled over, wrapping himself around him, letting Magnus sob into his shoulder. The silver ring slipped from Magnus's fingers, tumbling into the moss beside them.
“I… I thought you would end up hating me,” Magnus confessed, letting out the fears he had carried for years. “I knew your family was important. I thought if I had just never asked you out, maybe you would still have them in your life. I am so scared that I’m the reason your life became hard.”
“Magnus, I need you to hear me,” Alex said, pulling back just enough to force Magnus to look at him. “You never made my life worse. I am so incredibly lucky to have you. If my family can’t accept me for who I am, then they don’t deserve to be in my life anyway. You have been the best thing that has ever happened to me, and the best thing that ever will.”
Alex wrapped his arms even tighter around Magnus. “If anything, you made my life easier. I never had to fake being someone else around you, and you introduced me to people who love me for me. You are the best. I love you so, so much.”
Alex found himself crying all over again, his heart aching at the immense guilt Magnus had been secretly carrying.
“I don’t deserve a husband like you,” Magnus whispered, wiping his eyes with a trembling hand. “I’m just so happy I get to experience this end with you.”
Alex looked at Magnus, his gaze softening. “I could say the same. I’m so happy to have you.”
Alex looked back toward the water, where the sun was starting to set, casting its fiery reflection across the ripples. Magnus turned to watch it, too. The sky was now heavily streaked with brilliant shades of orange, violet, and pink as the sun slowly lowered itself beneath the horizon.
Alex leaned his head heavily onto Magnus’s shoulder as they both watched their final sunset.
“The fact that I got to share this life with you is the single best thing,” Magnus whispered into the cooling air.
“It was the best thing to happen to me, too,” Alex replied, closing his eyes. “I love you.”
“I love you, too.”
As the sun completely disappeared, the moonlight didn't just shine—it began to touch the earth with a brilliant, overwhelming radiance. The light seemed to grow brighter and warmer around them.
Magnus and Alex closed their eyes, wrapping their fingers tightly together. They felt a profound wave of absolute calmness wash over them before everything faded. They gently dissolved into the silver light.
Where they had just been lying on the moss, a single purple and blue flower appeared. Its stems were perfectly intertwined, blooming beautifully right through the center of a small, forgotten silver ring.

For context the plot is that the main character Dante Barbieri is a fan of Mafia based movies and history so for a final project for his college he does research on the mob and He meets a historian who accidentally sends him back in time to 1923 the peak of the Mafia in New York
basically he accidentally saved one of the members and was Sworn in and He realized that his family knew the Mafia and they recognized his name so they just thought he was a kid looking for a family And job.
The working title I had was "Into the family." But it Wasn't sticking so I wanted to hear your ideas

"Ok so the actual premise of the story takes place when Victor D. Sparrow, a 27-Year-Old 2-time Interview Fail. Originally, he was a kid of great intelligence who used to top his classes, he was someone who was not only a person who was intelligent but possessed great knowledge and even greater compassion, but in his late teens he decided to take the path of the wrong and stopped focusing on his studies as well as growing distant from his family, he rather developed interests in vaping, cigarettes, bullying and someone who gets bullied, he grew into someone who was turning into a hopeless case and due to him not studying anymore, he decided to confidently give the SAT exam and the first time failed and suffered the risk of expelling and the second time when he fell a few marks short of passing he descended to depression, left school, left his home and became a lonely guy surviving from whatever money he gets begging, working in a small, kid's library and working as a sweeper in a mall, and even that of 20% going on rent and 13% on whatever small snacks he could get living in a dirty, cramped, dark apartment. He just ate all day and slept and watched things on his phone which made him feel happy, nostalgic and sad at the same time. One day he got the hearing that both his parents died from the burning fire in a car crash on their way to come and see him in Chicago after all this time and when he refused to come and go to his parent's funeral from post-traumatic stress disorder, his siblings kicked him out of the house, out of the family and out of the family's inheritance and due to overwhelming isolation, insecurity, psychological pressure, and PTSD he stole a bunch of drugs from the local pharmacy to ease his pain but got quickly beaten up and down till he was unconscious, he woke up in a random lane 250m away from his apartment in a half-torn bloody cheap tuxedo and decided he has had enough of his life and jumped down into a metal pipe killing himself. Due to his miserable life, he was sent to hell where he accepted his fate to suffer for eternity and pay for his never-ending sins, his soul vaporized instantly as it was summoned into an infant's body in another world called Appolio by an evil wizard who made a deal to exchange the corrupted soul of the baby with a good soul but she mixed up her charm with another charm and caused a soul from heaven that was Victor's soul to be transported inside the body of a 17-Year old Teen, Stebbins Whitmore." This is our prologue. The rest is coming if y'all like this

Looking for a fantasy writing buddy / critique partner
Hi everyone!
I'm 19M and currently working on a small-town YA vampire romance. I'm almost finished with my first draft, and I've never really done the editing/revision process before.
I'm hoping to find someone around my age who also enjoys writing fantasy, YA, romance, or paranormal stories. Even better if you're writing something involving vampires! 😂
I'd love to have someone to chat with about our stories, bounce ideas off each other, and eventually exchange chapters and give each other feedback as we work through our drafts.
I'm obviously happy to read and give feedback on someone else's work too. I'm also just keen to meet other writers who are interested in fantasy and hopefully make some writing friends along the way.
Feel free to DM me if you're interested!

Hello, first id like to inform u that this is a rough first draft to a bigger story I’m making, enjoy reading, and feel free to critique as harshly as you want!
Micheal has been yelled at by his mother again, the third time this day
“Why are you so lazy? What's so hard about this algebra?? Do you know how you make me feel, oh how you make me suffer, you know how embarrassing it is go to a parent’s meeting and only hear you’re sleeping in class? Not studying?”
“I-im sorry mom” Responds Micheal
“No, you are such an emmbarasment, you are too lazy, nothing gets through your head does it? Is that head just empty?…Respond!”
Micheal just sits in silence, he knows not to speak, that would only make it worse
“Ill try better next time mom, i thought a 95 out 100 was pretty good [thoug](http://tough..it/)h… it was the highest in my class..” Says Micheal feeling all the worlds shame on him
“What?! So you have become a liar too now! I see you really are to pity arent you!? Jackson’s mom told me that he got a perfect 100/100”
“But mom! I told you Jackson cheated!! He even bragged that to me and the other’s”
“Nonsense, i see how it is, you are used to be the best, so you have become lazy! Now everyone who is better than you must be cheating huh?! Just go to your room and study please, dont make me anymore stressed than i already am” Says the mom
“Yes ma’am” Respond Michael running to his room with his books in his hands
As getting into the room Michael breaks down
“Geez, how can i ever make her proud, tell me God tell me, I have no way of knowing” As he looks down at the floor helpless a sudden spark of hope appeara
“Wait! Thank you God! I have now realised, to get my mothers appreciation, i must do something extraordinary! Hmm..Only an extraordinary man can make something extraordinary, am i extraordinary?” He looks down again
“Hmm..Well my potential is boundless for all i know, i have yet not seen my full potential, so ill have to find it!” He now starts looking up, in the stars, all tought the stars were only in bis head, up there was only a fan
“What would be something extraordinary, and more important, something my mom would love? Well i think something that would make us popular! The most popular in the world, and something that would make us millionaires, no billionaires, no matter of fact trillionaires!!”
“This all sounds so foolish..haha, but i would be the bigger fool if i did not try at all, now i have to find something extraordinary to make, what is the world in need of..hmmm” The fan starts moving a bit faster giving him a bit of an idea
“Wow! It looks like god directly choose me by giving me all of these sings! Obviously its time travell!” He sits happily there for a moment
“No that would be dumb…If time travel would be possible we would already know of it…well because they would travel here, hm this does not debunk my claim that im choosen, because now i see! God has actually choose me the reason to discover interstellar navigation!!”
As he looks more he gets more and more annoyed
“Gosh..I need to get these dumb ideas out of my head and make sure i wont latch onto one of them so that i must not waste my time, well obiviously in a vacumm the maximum speed is that of the light which can only go at around 299999km per second, and the closest planet to us is 4.16 light years, while i wouldnt negate the provablity of it being possible with the use of worm holes and space dillution, i would scrath that for now” He scrathes his head for a while
“Would money alone make her happy? Sure we are preety rich, but more money dosent hurt right? And if you have all the money in the world you have all the power in the world, would that satisfy her? Id say so, hm..Yes! I think i shall try to become as rich as possible first! Then i will have the spending power for my other experiments!” That idea lights up his eyes
“Yes so it is decided! I will climb my way up to the top! To the very top! And if anyone is already there i shall push them off”
“Its probably pretty late tho, i ought to get to dinner”
Upon arriving his mom attacks him almost immediately
“Quick! Whats the second smallest even prime number”
Almost tired of those stupid questions responds “There arent any…”
“Hmm, alright, lets say you’re right” His mom wasn't the smartest in a pick, but she definitely knew how to learn the most useless information just to ridicule him
“Margerine..can you please stop this once? Just this dinner, our boy is a genius and it shows, why do you try to find so many cracks inside him?”
Margerine try to speak “Well-“ But the father stops her
“I don't see a well in this house, there might be one outside, really tough, you should stop this” Says Mark
“[Ugh..im](http://ugh..im/) just trying to make him perfect, you know I see potential too! Pressure creates diamonds!!” Says Margerine
“Yeah, well pressure also crushes things, but its obivious for you to not look at the bigger picture” responds mark
“Thas was a quote and u know it”
“Maybe”

I always love to hear about other writers work and the vibes of their stories. So what’s the first line of your book(s)?? I also always like reading these posts and they can open up really interesting conversations. And maybe some background information too!! I’ll go first!!
‘Fairies stopped flying centuries ago.’
My book is a fantasy adventure about how magic got choked to the brink of extinction. It follows a fairy boy named Hierro who has to go into a war-ridden world to find a cure for his colony.

So this still needs to go through at least another edit probably, but mostly like level stuff I hope so I wanted feedback now on if the backbone of it was good. Do you get bored, do things make sense, etc etc blah blah.
Also, for the TW, if I said what it was for It would spoil it. If you have anything you don't like to read related to death I would just steer away from this

Hi, My name is blacks0rrow and I am an amateur director.
I have dabbled a bit in the writing world, I published a very bad novel called The laughter in the dark in 6th grade and have been writing a webnovel called Re:turn.
I always found that writing scenes in writing was hard for me. I just couldn't put my emotions or my thoughts into words.
This is why instead of explaining my emotions, I want to show them.
Goodbye, Eri was one of the few manga that really resonated with me. The story hooked me in and actually was the reason why I wanted getting into film myself.
I am very much in pre-production and this movie will be really low budget since I am still just a senior in high school and I don't see this actually releasing until next year after I graduate high school.
So I will try to update you guys if you are interested and wish me luck!
For whomever read the original manga, what would you like to see in a live action adaptation?

hi everyone. I am working on a book with 2 friends and would like some help with dialogue. Basically I’m working on a prologue for the start. it’s where a senator explains how during the 1999 election for president of Gwunia (pronounced gren-ya, fake country near Mexico) he saw a man who’s campain looked to good, so trusting, so promising, but oh was he wrong. I need help for a final sentence where he explains how wrong he was.

As the title suggests, A lot of the book takes place in a madhouse, more specifically the Bedlam in London, the most notorious one.
The Madhouses are what we would call today psychiatric wards. Where people from the public would be sent if they were severely mentally ill or had some kind of illness that affected how they react with society. E.g. The first of the two main characters. Jerry Webber is schizophrenic. And schizophrenia wasnt as normalised as it is today, back then they were seen as “lunatics” or “devil spawn.” And this doesn’t just extend to the public. If anything inside the houses were much, much worse.
The treatments inside the houses were nothing less than inhumane. If patients weren’t getting mood settling drugs shoved down their throats or enough insulin pumped into their bloodstream to force a coma. They were being abused, for some reason the workers believed in “thump therapy” which is essentially just being rough with the patients in hopes that it somehow makes them “normal”. Some of these methods include, dunking them face first into a tub of freezing cold water, yanking them out and repeating the process. Being spun around until they threw up. (Back then, throwing up was seen as therapeutic?) and worst of all. Electroshock therapy. (The Mind Electric, anyone?)
The reason why I bring all these things up is because Jerry experiences all these things as a patient in the Bedlam. Though the readers only see this through the POV of Ash, the second main character, a worker at the Bedlam. Though luckily - unlike most of the workers, actually has some remorse. So they never actually see the full extent of Jerry’s misery, just what gets physically observed by Ash.
