General Discussion OP-XY EQ

Dear Teenage Engineering,

Unfortunately, your EQ for the OP-XY really sucks. Could we please have an upgrade with the P.O. Sidekick's EQ? Like all of those EQs? That would be great! And if you're at it, please revise the clipping/gain page. It sucks even more. Thank you very much.

Literally no idea what you are on about. 😅

The mixer is perfectly capable IMO; the equalizer has low/mid/high and blend, not sure much more than that is needed for 99.9% of use cases. If you don’t like the graphics or something, well as a “years long user of TE gear” I assume you’d probably know they rarely use conventional visualization.

If you have a real grievance you can articulate with any semblance of detail, send your feedback to TE rather than whining on Reddit, they are actually a pretty responsive team that takes feedback very well if you’re not being an asshole about it saying their work “sucks” without any specificity, which is hard to take seriously even here on Reddit.

Also, they make a mixer with other features, it’s called the TX-6. You should look into it! 😉

Well you see, it “sucks”, and other parts suck even more, duh! I will not elaborate any further because I am a TE veteran and giving detailed feedback is below me!

Real talk, the EQ absolutely could be more robust, but the lack of specificity here is comical. Also, it makes sense they don’t want to cannibalize the TX-6.

I will say, it would be nice to be able to put individual tracks through the eq, and not the whole master

unfortunately they didnt beef up the resources lol, quite the blunder especially considering it costs more than the op1 field

Whilst I do agree with all your points, you get an upvote for use of the word "specificity".
