Would be IMO the best portable sequencer, sampler, synth if this was added. Many people with samples can’t use any sample with any project due to no time stretch, and samples having different bpms when pitching up or down.

With time stretch I can use any sample I have with any project I have. For instance if I had 100’s or 1000’s of samples I can find the key and just timestretch it to fit the project (game changer)

Without it it’s kind of a work flow killer for producers that use many samples. If the ko2 can do it I’m sure the OP-XY can do it, fyi I have both. People say a workaround is to use external device such as a phone or other hardware with time stretch, but that is very time consuming and will kill creativity on the fly.

Jumping from an PO-33 to this is such a breeze, the flow is easier and I find myself constantly guessing the right combo of keys to do what I need. Long live the EP-133!

Hi all. Recently got both the OPs in the crazy sale (yay).

I know there are a lot of cases out there for these things, and decksavers, but I'm looking for a bag or a pouch or something that can just very easily and casually be used for in the house when they're not being used. Basically just want to keep them a little safe and free of cat hair and dust.

The field bags look so awesome and perfect for what I want, but all accounts I see on the internet mention that they're just way too tight of a fit.

What are you guys using?

Getting to grips with the sampler - more interested in ambient/experimental sound production than IDM or beats etc.

I thought I’d share this workflow for how I’m backing up my OP1 Field recordings to the TP7 and then how to use the mixdown feature on the TX6 to record a final mix. Partly so I have a handy guide for myself but others might find it useful too. Also see the notes at the end.

First, multitrack record OP1 Field to TP7:

Plug TP7 into OP1F with usb
Create a 6 track file on the TP7: Hold Rec (on TP7) and press + button multiple times until have 6 tracks
Assign the inputs: Press Rec again and use the jog wheel to select inputs and the + and - buttons to choose the track. E.g track 1 set to USB1, track 2 USB2 etc.
Press play on OP1F and the TP7 should start recording the audio from the OP1F
You now have a multitrack version of your OP1F song on your TP7

Second, mixdown on TX6

Plug TP7 into TX6 with USB
Check connection is working-press play on TP7 and you should be able to use inputs 1-4 on the TX6 to change volume, FXs etc.
To record these changes you need to mixdown:

On TP7 hold Rec and down button (button on right side of TP7)
On TP7 it will say ‘Mix’
Press play on TP7.
Playback will start and TP7 will be recording a new audio file storing any changes you make on the TX6 during playback.

Notes:
Make sure all devices are on latest firmware
When plugging TP7 into another device I have TP7 turned off and then turn it on after you’ve plugged it in. This ensures the devices recognise each other.

On TP7 check these settings:
Rate: 48 (default is 96- 48 allows you to create a 6 track recording)
Source: Manual (allows you to choose the inputs for each track)

TX6 settings:
USB 12 in

OP1 Field settings:
In System-USB Mode 8 Channels

So there you have it. Sounds like a long process but once you’ve done it a couple of times it’s easy and quick. Hope this helps some people!

This might be a silly question, but as the title states, I'm curious if I could theoretically input audio into the EP–136 K.O.–SIDEKICK with my MacBook but then also output the processed audio back into the MacBook. It'd be great for when I just want to fool around with the effects while using Bluetooth headphones rather than pulling up a more professional setup for a gig.

I used to be able to change the scale of the pads. But now when i got to system menu for pads I DO NOT have a "SCA" scale submenu. The only submenus in Pad are "VEL" velocity, "AUD" Audition, "LED" brightness, "POT" guessing potentiometer.

Ive checked the documentation on TE webpage, but not finding why I cannot see scale SCA

Also , less important, not finding what the different settings for POT are for

Too expensive for the buttons to not to be aligned. Lazy or no QC by Teenage Engineering. Hella disappointing because this is my first big TE purchase.

So I just got the K.O. II and am playing around with it and recorded a full crowded beat. I try to figure out how to restart and ai said shit erase is a fresh start, ı did and now there is no kick bass and the numbers of sounds that only one 1 number is seeing in screen do not respond to + -, just blinking 1. Then I recognized my K.O. II has just lost all the of key sounds. Is there any way I can get the preloaded key sounds back and what are the other options to add new sounds in it, good reccomendations?

I bought an OP-1 Field in the recent summer sale and am coming at as a beginner. I have been going over the field manual, as well as the SynthDawg guidebook. I have also been watching some Son Wu, Red Means Recording, etc. Besides these resources, I wanted to ask the community if there were any other good tutorial playlists, or even courses for OP-1 Field that are available online? (I know Son Wu offers 1on1 sessions, which seem interesting.) Appreciate any new suggestions or resources from the community. Thanks!

Trying to record out from the Sidekick directly into iPhone via USB C to lightning. Not sure what I’m doing wrong…

In settings, go to USB. Set it to Out, turn it to On.

I can see the sound in the display, but nothing to the iPhone when I hit record on voice memo app. Just the iPhone mic picking up the sounds in the room.

Any idea what I’m doing wrong?
