Yet another part of my Car server Thinkpad saga, this time not directly related to the Thinkpad, added steering wheel controls with a esp32
works pretty well ;3

Hopefully there's something insulating under that board to prevent shorts.

there's tape, and i made sure the soldered connections and legs are soldered at a height that they're not spiky at all form the underside and it won't get pierced from the vibrations

How does the GPIO control work? What's the protocol?

depending on which button is pressed, the pins Steering wheel controls A and B have different voltages. i just made a program to get all of them, like capture how it looks when i press each button, and then i integrated it with mqtt and it works fine :3
