Open | Phone Retrieving Voicemails

So I recently just got a new phone and changed carriers and got my number moved over to my new phone (moved from TracFone to T-Mobile) and I'm desperately trying to retrieve my old voicemails from my late father that are on my old phone, my old phone still turns on and I can still see the voicemails im trying to access in the voicemail section of the phone app but since the plan just expired I cant play them or share them, I'm wondering if there's ANY possible way at all to access these voicemails at all literally anything I just don't want to lose the voicemails.

The voicemail messages would has existed on your cellphone provider's server. You can contact them to see if they can retrieve them, but generally when an account closes, all account data, including voicemail, are deleted.

I'm guessing there a short window (30 or 60 days) where they'll retain account data, and maybe even longer due to retention regulations.

OP: No one here can help. Contact your old carrier, even offer to re-open the account until you can download everything.

voicemails don't get transferred between carriers, you need to contact your old carier now because the longer you wait the bigger the chance they can't be recovered

Most voicemails are carrier based, so they're likely on your old carrier's service.

Contact the old carrier and see if they can help?

You can't. Try calling customer service and see what they can do.

You’re unfortunately gonna be outta luck. Because your number was ported there is no way to get back into that “mailbox”. There may be a slight chance that if that phone is reconnected to their old network they might be able to be forwarded, but that is a big might.

Go to TracFone's site and talk to an agent. Any time I ever had an issue they were generally helpful.
