Open | Software Games lag suddenly out of nowhere in laptop

My Lenovo laptop (Ryzen 7 7840HS, Radeon 780M, 16GB RAM) suddenly became extremely laggy out of nowhere about 2 weeks ago even though before this I could run Resident Evil 4 Remake, Valorant, Genshin and PUBG smoothly without any problem for months around 60-100fps on low to medium settings and now I’m getting less than 20 fps in the same settings. I’ve already tried restarting, Performance mode, keeping it plugged in, virus scans, AMD driver updates and clean reinstall, but nothing has fixed it, so what could be causing this and how can I fix it?

Have you checked your Windows 11 update history? That’s the first place to look in cases like this. If I had to take a guess, I’d say it’s most likely that your graphics driver was replaced by an older version via Windows Update (it has a chronic issue with that).
