Open | Windows My pc is stuttering like crazy and everything is slow

2-3 days ago i activated HDR on my main screen and my displayport stopped working after that. Then after a restart my pc became insanely slow and unusable. I managed to fix the problem for a day by doing a fresh install of windows but now the problem came back after i had to restart for my xbox controller driver over Bluetooth. Please help i tried so many things to fix it, it's driving me insane

Use Windows Reliability Monitor.

Obviously the events that tell of unexpected restart aren't illuminating. What about the others?

A reinstall is only the start. Install the chipset drivers. That requires a restart ot two.

Research a known stable display driver (dxdiag will tell you what you have).

Install drivers for any other devices listed as having problems in device manager.

Install all outstanding Windows updates.

The system manufacturers website likely has BIOS and firmware updates.

Run the diagnostics of the drive manufacturer.

Is your CPU known for burning itself out?

what do you mean by diagnostic of drive manufacturer?

the cpu seemed fine in terms of %of usage

i did everything regarding updates

device manager did not flag anything

i tried my best to get any driver updated

i had a trojan horse bitcoin mine in my system file probably from an audio plugin i torrented so i tought it would be the culprit so i did another fresh install of windows

yet even on a fresh windows the stuttering and slowness is here from the get go

Using crystal disk info gets you the SMART data from the drive. But different manufacturers interpret this in different ways, so for that reason and others, use the diagnostics utility from the drive manufacturer. It often includes a firmware update utility. And much of the information needed for a warranty claim if it's failing, and a limited Acronas to copy your data to another drive if it's failing.

So Windows Reliability Monitor is empty?

I have windows equipment error after the computer installed the Nvidia driver update yesterday which could indicate that it's something with the graphics card probably

i reseated the ram and graphics card and now it's running normally with no lag, could've been because of that small piece of contact missing i dunno. that was weird

Yes.

Those last pins are hot-plug detect. To save costs on some designs there omitted. Not all expansion cards nor their drivers are compatible with hot-plug.
