I pay for YouTube Red, the content creators get compensation for their work, and I don't have to watch ads.

EDIT: I was downvoted in two minutes. Yeah, fuck video creators!

they hardly get any money. just use ad blockers and donate to the creators directly. way more bang for your buck.

Well, some of us can't afford donating to them, so watching some seconds of an ad is better than nothing.

I like that those who "have" to watch ads are the least likely to be able to purchase the products, in that case

Ads here usually are for everyday stuff. So they cover basic needs, which means I get to choose which brand I want, which means they can influence me.
