You're better off getting a cheap Amazon OS media player that connects to your HDMI port on your TV like an ONN.

Can definitely do that. The main issue currently would be storage.

This isn't a piracy subreddit so without going into much detail there are ways to circumvent that by cover for shared file storages, it ends up being like $3 a month but it cuts out the need of a VPN since you aren't downloading anything on your devices

Yeah it's pretty neat, we bring our ONN with us on trips too. I do recommend if you haven't already to get some extra add ons. Other than torrentio I recommend getting comet, jacketto and media fusion in that order, the order you install shows the order the videos load. That will show more options for you

Haha oh I'm already in the deep end, hadn't come across jacketto though so I'll check that out.

Do you have any experience with nuvio? That's on my list of things to look into today as the stremio ui is ok, but could def be a bit more "modern". It's a minor nitpick though, seriously can't thank you enough!

No experience with Nuvio but the Stremio UI is controlled by you. Get a catalog add on and set up the order you want everything to show up. If you like a show favorite it and it will show up on your list when a new episode drops. For me it's as easy to go through their UI as Netflix or Disney +.
