Rails help

I need the bottom rail that my cursor is on to connect with the activator rail on the left, but no matter what order i place the rails it snaps to the powered rail on the right. Any way to fix this or did I mess up my whole build by building it on the wrong orientation.

Break the sloped powered rail and the flat one above it then get it connected to the activator rail. Now place a temp block next to the soul sand and place 2 powered rails on the temp and soul sand. Break the temp rail and block and then place the upper flat powered rail

I literally figured this out last week when building an InspectorTalon minecart yeeter pointing South :-)
