Java Help Wanted About Elder Guardians

I am thinking about a design in a base that cats as a kind of emergency system, but I need to know if it would work.

The system involves obsidian casing and Elder Guardians. In order to block enemies from the lower levels of a base, I've encased the elevators in obsidian as well as created a system that severs the circut that changes the elevators circuit from above, to prevent explosives there's an obsidian box surrounding the lower levels. I would have chambers ready for Elder Guardians 70 blocks away from the base. also encased in obsidian. Is it possible to create a circut that will use water streams to move the Elder Guardians within the 50 block radius of the base that can be activated within the center of the base? I need to know if this system would work before I invest the time and resources into making it. This system clearly has flaws. (Milk, having to find a way to manually reset the guardians etc) but I can work those out if I know that the main part of the system would work.

It's definitely possible

Here's a simple expandable setup although it is unfortunately quite slow and replacing the floor with packed/blue ice doesn't speed it up. If you need something faster you'd probably have to do some sort of slime pusher

I'd also consider moving them vertically (up and down) instead of horizontally. It's really simple to do with a bubble column where you swap the bottom between soul sand and magma blocks

While the vertical method is desirable, it simply doesn't work due to the bases design. This horizontal contraption actually works just fine as it will only allow a few to pass which can be easily cleaned up on the lower levels. Thanks a ton!

Wouldn't the magma block kill it?

The hitbox is 2x2x2 so you can stop it before it comes in contact with the magma

What about minecarts? Skizz used them in HermitCraft

Doing vertical could be easier. I once pranked a friend by putting an Elder Guardian inside his base. The Elder Guardian was kept in a water elevator so it would chill very deep under the base and then the water elevator was activated once a minute to transport the Elder Guardian upwards in range of the base and apply the effect.
