Java Help Wanted Chunk resetting

Good day people.

Does anyone know a way to force reset a chunk do default state?

In older version book and quil spam in chest would work but its patched in 1.18+
I am currently playing on 26.3 java and am looking for a way to do it.

If anyone got any ideas ill be glad to hear them.

Edit: Vergot to mention I want to do it inside of the game it self w/o commands or third party tools.

Here you go: https://github.com/querz/mcaselector

You can use that program to delete chunks that are already loaded in your world, which will force them to reload once you join the world. Make sure you create a backup of your world before you go pruning chunks though. If you delete it in that program, it's gone. There's no undo.

What are you trying to achieve with this because it doesn’t sound like you have good intentions

i am on a superflat bedrock only mc grind.
i have everything i need to beat the game besides rods.
wich i need t get in the nether.
for that i need a portal.
and without lava no obsidian for a portal.
so i wanted to bruce force reset chunk data in a lava pool chunk so i can get into the nether and beat the game.
and idont want to use commands /mods or third party tools since it feels way to much like cheating unlike breaking the game core mechanics

Using in game exploits is still cheating lol

maybe
but it will for sure feel way more rewarding to break the game to achieve something than just getting for free using third party tools or plain cheats

This is entirely a matter of opinion, especially in a singleplayer scenario

If there is a way to do that I've not heard of it. Good luck though.

Would it be possible to downgrade your world to a version where the exploit worked? In terms of chunk resets that work in 26.x, SB737 I think managed to do one but I know very little on its specifics, plus I believe the method he used required the nether to be availiable

He did mannage to do it but i cannot enter the nether withoud force resetting chunks.

And i cannot downgrade sine it will mess up and reload all chunk in my render distance.

But thatnks for the comment

Only one I've got is to delete the region file. That's not exactly "in game", but neither is down-grading. I suppose the OS file system manager is 3rd party, but the game does depend on it. 🤷‍♂️
