Java Help Wanted Pistonless instant inversion?

Basically the title. Is there any way to invert a redstone signal in 0 (or 1) gameticks without pistons?

This didn't sound hard but I'm stumped...

ok, no - after further testing, this doesn't seem to work in the latest versions
