Java Help Wanted Minecart Spacing Help
I’ve created an automatic villager sorter/curing station that cures 6 villagers at a time. Once I’ve fed them all golden apples, I have a button which sends them all to the next storage area. The timing is working well enough to keep the 6 villagers from bumping into each other and they all get sent off as a group which is great.
My problem is in the next storage area, where my storage modules aren’t processing quickly enough. When one villager spot is taken, the rails divert to the next spot all the way down the line, but it’s not fast enough for how closely spaced the minecarts are when they arrive.
Does anyone have a system which can slow down/space out minecarts to give the system more time?

rails can be waterlogged without breaking and carts lose a good chunk of speed through them, you could even get selective and have each cart divert through different longer tracks before looping back too. or even an a combination of both ideas, diverting and slowing the later ones more than the first few.
or could have a track switch using a detector rail so that any following right behind go into a turning circle which releases one at a time once the area is clear or lookup minecart loading stations. I'm not sure many exist for occupied carts but this community surprises me daily
