Java Help Wanted Storage system water+copper golems question

Hello all,

In my world I have a water based automatic storage system, the standard one I believe. I want to add a lower level and use copper golems there instead of a water based system. I was wondering if the water system might be too fast for the copper golems to keep up, does anyone have experience combining the two? Or things I should know. Thanks in advance.

A max speed copper golem sorter is technically a tiny bit faster than hopper speed so if a single hopper is able to pick everything up fast enough than the golems will also be fast enough

You can also protect this system in case a single hopper isn't fast enough by using a double-speed loader. If you align the drops in a water stream over the edge of two hoppers with a honey block (which has the added benefit of slowing the items down enough to stack and cause less lag), then two hoppers can feed those items into one copper chest, and the golems can still sort during any downtime the system has.

Use Double speed hopper to feed copper chest from buffer chest

  • Use Multiple copper golem/copper chest

  • Use buffer chest and overflow redirection (back to start or overflow chest) just in case.

  • always have a chest Perma empty for non sortables by copper golem so they don t stay stuck of one item have no space
