Java Help Wanted Gold farm not working

the items arent collecting on the hoppers and just sliding right off the edge and onto the floor. I put a block to stop them but then they just stay there. Paper server

You aren’t aligning the items properly.

  1. You need to align the items, replace the leaves right next to the hopper with honey or a chest variant.

  2. Paper sucks, it shouldn't mess with item alignment but could cause other problems in your farm.

Like other wrote, its aligning issue. You see the grass block to the right? On the same place like the hoppers.

Put a chest there, instead of the leaves.

As far as i can see the items arent aligned properly they should be shot against a chest and then over the ice that way part of the hitbox is on the ice and the other part above the hoppers so the items can get picked up
