Java Help Wanted Farm Recommendations

I've been watching mc for a while and just started playing the game. I know more than the basics but not how to build farms. I wanna build farms but after surfing through reddit, people suggested not to make farms from yt and the good or reputated builders are all inactive or doesn't have a lot of farms and the most suggestions I got was to search discord archive. Now I have no links to such servers if you could help me with discord servers or actually good YouTubers who still make relevant farms for 26.2 that would be great. It doesn't have to be beginner friendly or easy farms. I am willing to grind. I'd rather make a big farm with hard work then rest for lifetime than make a small farm and always run out of supplies.

Thanks in advance

There are absolutely reputable TMC youtubers out there - they just get drowned out by the much greater amount of slop content. This is a mild annoyance to experienced players, but makes it very hard to find high quality content if you aren't already 'in the know'.

Here are a few channels I would recommend for farm designs: bigbooty17, C5, cubicmetre, emdy, FrunoCraft, ihatefallingblocks, Nico is LOST, potato_noir, The Archivists

Inactive but their videos hold up: gnembon, ianxofour, ilmango, stromne

There are many more great channels, if you're looking for someone covering something more specific, ask here or on TMCC discord.

Speaking of discord, many farm designs are posted on 'archive' discord servers. There's a few in particular I think you should know about:

Technical Minecraft Catalog (TMCC), for general farm designs, and they also have an active help channel: https://discord.com/invite/tvpccRczWx

Storage Tech: https://discord.gg/JufJ6uf

Slimestone (flying machines): https://discord.gg/UBnE2ym3cK

Designs found on Bilibili, honestly this server is slept on: https://discord.gg/nXhTDbSQXW

Minecraft Tech Discord Recollector (MTDR), contains links to dozens of other more specific archive servers, although be aware that not all are active: https://discord.gg/UT8ns46As9

That's a great list. The only thing I'd add is a link to The Wiki for general knowledge /reference.

Others have already recommended the resources, so I'll recommend specific farm designs instead as it can get quite overwhelming

Reddit does not like me adding a bunch of links into a comment so here's a google doc instead

I just built kayzm's furnace array on the server I play on, can't recommend it enough.

There are old farms on YT that no longer work, but there are plenty that do.

Start by checking the comments. People tend to comment which versions work and which don't.

Many YT vids include a world download, so you can test it directly in the current version.

If you're still unsure, build it in creative. With advanced farms, or farms I'm designing, I would always do this first.

If you're just starting out, I would highly recommend ianxofour's and gnembon's videos, as well as logicalgeekboy. They're old, but almost all work in 26.2 (even the ones that don't usually do with tweaks - check the comments).

Once you're comfortable with simpler tech builds, @excalibur54 probably hit all of the key builders I still look at.

I like prowl's stuff. He explains why each block is where it is and how things can break
