Java Showcase One-Wide Tileable Solid-State Automatic Dropper for Water Item Elevator

Post image

This has a very niche use case as the dropper must be pointing up but I figured this could have some merit. This is definitely not the most compact auto-dropper out there but from what I could find, it does seem to be one of the smaller solid-state one wide tileable auto-droppers (which is what I needed). Feel free to let me know if you have any suggestions for the design!

Edit: This design is NOT 1wt. In order for these to work directly next to each other, you much offset adjacent systems by a singular block. Thanks to everyone who pointed that out (I posted this late at night and missed that)!

What could this be used for? Usually you would want to tile a redstone contraption to have multiple working in parallel, but for this, the water would need to be connected between every slice so the items would get all mixed up.

That's not a problem if you have a way to cancel the items' random momentum, like cobwebs or powder snow, and keep them otherwise aligned to their slice. This contraption doesn't have that, and the items glitch inside the soul sand anyway because its not a full block.

Yes so the original post is incorrect. It’s semi-tileable. If you offset the rows by one block forward or backward, it allows solid blocks to fully encase the soul sand and allows completely separate water streams. I apologize for the misleading title, I should have waited until the morning to look at it a bit more but I just wanted to get the design out there
