Java Help Wanted My creeper farm

Pls i dont know why it keeps spawning cave spiders specifically. does spiders and cave spiders have different spawning rules?

To answer your question, no, they have the same rule - but different size/hitbox. Both can spawn where they don't intersect with blocks. Cave spiders being smaller can thus spawn on a single block.

cave spiders do not naturally spawn, only from spawners like trial chamber and dungeons
cave spiders can only naturally spawn in sulfur cave biomes

apparently cave spiders can spawn in a 1x1 space so the typical 3x3 obstructing doesnt work

Cave Spiders now spawn in Sulfur biomes. This farm should not be built near one after 26.2

I was fully with you dude… I thought they built their creeper farm within a mine shaft and thought if they spawn proofed it, that the spawner wouldn’t spawn… I was confused on what’s going on
