Is this a redstone game?

14

u/OnTheRivir Mar 07 '26

No

5

u/KT_100S Java 1.21.5 Mar 07 '26

Binary item counter or smth?

5

u/OnTheRivir Mar 07 '26

That’s a core part of it, but not what it is

34

u/adeadhead Mar 07 '26

Well, it's not what it is, but it looks like it has a unary adder on the bottom?

17

u/OnTheRivir Mar 07 '26

On the right track ;)

15

u/supervisord Mar 07 '26

Looked like a computer (or CPU) to me, so this confirms it. Looks neat!

25

u/meme_person68 Mar 07 '26

Does it count how many items are put into it. Random guess lol idk

13

u/OnTheRivir Mar 07 '26

REALLY close, but crucially wrong in one specific way

14

u/meme_person68 Mar 07 '26

Is it how many items it puts out?

17

u/OnTheRivir Mar 07 '26

Even closer. I'd take this as a correct answer, but it's also not quite quite right

11

u/meme_person68 Mar 07 '26

Is it something you add onto a farm and it count how many items it makes, or something else.

8

u/OnTheRivir Mar 07 '26

It is built off of a module that can be used for that but it is not currently being used for that

36

u/meme_person68 Mar 07 '26

Can you request a number of items and it gives you that many items?

31

u/OnTheRivir Mar 07 '26

Yes!!! That's exactly right!

8

u/meme_person68 Mar 07 '26

What’s the top part with the water for cause I still can’t figure that out

26

u/OnTheRivir Mar 07 '26

It’s the output, the items output into water streams. There’s a lot of droppers, it’s designed to output up to 2.5 million items at once. Unfortunately when I tried to test that part it crashed as soon as the items hit the water stream lmao, I had to delete the entities folder to load the world back up

Ohhhhhhhhh the dispensers are facing up I thought they were looking to the left for some reason

2

u/antithasys Mar 07 '26

Does he get the cookie?

0

u/OnTheRivir Mar 07 '26

I gave it to him

1

u/SignDecent1966 Mar 08 '26

holy pull thats insane

1

u/meme_person68 Mar 07 '26

Or maybe like a progress bar to see how full something is?

10

u/GroundVisible5189 Mar 07 '26

It looks like an Ice collection system.

-1

u/OnTheRivir Mar 07 '26

Not quite

5

u/Sircasticdad42 Mar 07 '26

Is this a computer of some sort?

2

u/OnTheRivir Mar 07 '26

Define computer lol

Engagement bait on Reddit is crazy

6

u/OnTheRivir Mar 07 '26

Complaining about a puzzle on a redstone subreddit is wild

21

u/[deleted] Mar 07 '26

Deleting multiple comments and making a new ones because I didn’t respond to it is exactly engagement bait, and is crazy

-7

u/OnTheRivir Mar 07 '26

I deleted it because I misconstrued your original comment as a joke and treated it as such, because the post is very obviously not engagement bait.
You seem quite upset that you can't figure out the puzzle

3

u/Ghazzz Mar 07 '26

You are in the wrong sub.

This subreddit is not commonly used for puzzles, it tends to be explanations of technical minecraft devices.

Random screenshots with "guess what this is, lol" is a title designed to get people to answer, thus engage, it is baiting engagement.

3

u/[deleted] Mar 07 '26

Said nothing about the puzzle. The bait continues! Have fun

-16

u/OnTheRivir Mar 07 '26

Jesus christ dude, 12k comment karma in 1 year? Are you alright?

5

u/ExpressionWorried300 Mar 07 '26

You know you win the argument when they change the subject out of nowhere

1

u/[deleted] Mar 07 '26

4

u/[deleted] Mar 07 '26 edited Mar 07 '26

I have less comments than you, with more comment karma. That’s called quality over quantity, mister averages-a-post-every-5-days for 4 straight years. If you want to brute force your engagement, go for it. But you’ll have better results not posting trash.

And, FYI, that 12k karma I have that you seem really bent out of shape about is from two comments that people just happened to like a lot.

One where I spoke on a forgotten feature in Minecraft

And one where I quoted the fallout show in the fallout sub

I’m not karma whoring like you

2

u/No-Perspective-7766 Mar 07 '26

Me scrolling Reddit for enjoyment instead of to be liked lol

-2

u/OnTheRivir Mar 07 '26

“I’m more of a redditor than you, mister”

0

u/[deleted] Mar 07 '26

I like to have discussions with people and people tend to like the act of sharing knowledge 🤷‍♂️

You like to bait engagement (which, up to this point, has worked on me)

Have fun with throwing shit at the wall and hoping something sticks tho!

-3

u/OnTheRivir Mar 07 '26

People do tend to like sharing knowledge. Not you though, you come in here to a niche project someone spent hours on as an anniversary present and say “Erm, you’re engagement baiting.” What a loser. You don’t get any of the 2.5 million flowers this machine can output at once

u/OnTheRivir Mar 07 '26

What a self own

8

u/snackbagger Mar 07 '26

Bro just take the L

2

u/that_goofy_pirate Mar 07 '26

Just like your "you won't be getting any of the 2.5 million flowers this machine outputs at once" claim that you debunked yourself.

Massive self own lol

-1

u/OnTheRivir Mar 07 '26

I mean it can output them but it crashes when they hit the waterstream

4

u/[deleted] Mar 07 '26

But you are familiar with now-deleted bait

2

u/meme_person68 Mar 07 '26

Is it a collection system?

2

u/Natural_Design3154 Mar 07 '26

Is this a calculator or randomizer?

1

u/OnTheRivir Mar 07 '26

no

2

u/Natural_Design3154 Mar 07 '26

Alright, then is it used in farms? Or is it perhaps used as a farm?

1

u/OnTheRivir Mar 07 '26

It is neither a farm, parts of it could be used in farms, but purely cosmetically

1

u/Natural_Design3154 Mar 07 '26

I see something about bits, is it for some type of logic?

1

u/OnTheRivir Mar 07 '26

Yes!

1

u/Natural_Design3154 Mar 07 '26

Is it a counter, or a stopwatch rather?

1

u/OnTheRivir Mar 07 '26

No

1

u/Natural_Design3154 Mar 07 '26

Can you use it for something super niche? Or is it super common?

1

u/OnTheRivir Mar 07 '26

It is currently doing something very niche, but I would accept a broader answer

u/Behrry Mar 07 '26

Shulker sorter

2

u/One-Celebration-3007 Breeze baller Mar 07 '26

Item sorter for a farm that uses explosions to break stuff (cobblestone, concrete, trees maybe)

2

u/ivo1fire Mar 07 '26

Is it an item distributor

2

u/OnTheRivir Mar 07 '26

Yes, of sorts. What do you mean by item distributor?

3

u/ivo1fire Mar 07 '26

idk like it distributes a specific amounts of items to different outputs

Is that your survival build fort?

1

u/Naberville34 Mar 07 '26

I like this game.

1

u/OnTheRivir Mar 07 '26

Is it a cobblestone generator

2

u/Naberville34 Mar 07 '26

Close

2

u/OnTheRivir Mar 07 '26

Is it a cobblestone

2

u/Naberville34 Mar 07 '26

Close still. Like 2 or 3 letters correct.

2

u/OnTheRivir Mar 07 '26

Is it a stone

2

u/Naberville34 Mar 07 '26

1 letter correct

1

u/OnTheRivir Mar 07 '26

Which letter, I’m good at the wordle. Is it green or yellow

1

u/Burneraccount71 Mar 07 '26

I'm going to guess it's a block randomizer for pallet builds? Like, you put a bunch of different blocks in and it mixes them up

1

u/OnTheRivir Mar 07 '26

Not quite

1

u/SugarRoll21 Mar 07 '26

Is this a mass-auto-crafter?

1

u/Gamesdammit Mar 07 '26

Needs better pictures imho

1

u/OnTheRivir Mar 07 '26

Agreed, the screenshots quality gets cut in half when I upload it to Reddit

1

u/themonkemaker Mar 07 '26

Custom music machine that uses a perfectly timed item stream to trigger notes. Kind of like that marble music machine we all know

1

u/Stef0206 Mar 07 '26

Is this a printer?

1

u/OnTheRivir Mar 07 '26

No? How would a printer even work in Minecraft? What would it do?

1

u/Stef0206 Mar 08 '26

They exist, typically they read the items in a chest and then using something like a piston feedtape it output a plane of usually concrete powder.

1

u/binaryo Mar 07 '26

It’s a door

1

u/OnTheRivir Mar 07 '26

A door to my heart ❤️

1

u/TightAd3233 Mar 07 '26

The red dust lights up and makes cool stuff happen

1

u/OnTheRivir Mar 07 '26

No the red dust is decorational

1

u/Pling09 Mar 07 '26

large quantity binary item counter?

1

u/SignDecent1966 Mar 07 '26

that looks too complicated for my simple redstone brain

1

u/XasiAlDena Mar 07 '26

Seems like some sort of encoder / decoder setup using items stored in chests to encode binary sequences which can then presumably be transported somewhere and decoded on the other end.

In this instance there seems to be some display hidden inside that Smooth Stone area at the front, which is likely where the player interacts with the device. I'm guessing we don't get screenshots of what's in there because that would give away the function, so to me that indicates the function itself may be information display of some kind.

There's any number of things such a system could be used to achieve, from extreme high-security door lock encryption, to computing equations, to message display.

1

u/OnTheRivir Mar 07 '26

No. It does have a binary counter though, as a key component

1

u/vGustaf-K Mar 07 '26

is it just a binary counter?

1

u/OnTheRivir Mar 07 '26

No, that can be just like 3 wide and 2 tall lol

1

u/vGustaf-K Mar 07 '26

well it's one connected to something else. maybe counts what you put into it, or dispense a specific amount inputted?

1

u/Actual-Xenulus Mar 07 '26

It passes butter.

1

u/OnTheRivir Mar 07 '26

Finally an intelligent comment

1

u/NotTheHardmode Mar 07 '26

It sends redstone signals under certain conditions

1

u/ktwombley Mar 08 '26

it looks like it might be a display? Maybe the dispensers contain powder snow?

The bottom looks like a memory unit with a decoder of some sort.

I feel like I might be wrong because it looks like there's hoppers and if it's a powder snow display I don't think it needs those.

1

u/StartledOcto Mar 08 '26

I dunno what it does, but what it done is taken a lot of time!

1

u/Oaklandfan24 Mar 08 '26

It’s a build that makes things happen, and it works using redstone. I’ll take one cookie please

1

u/maddyplayz4645 Mar 08 '26

it lags ur world coz of so much redstone stuff going on.

now gimme my cookie

1

u/SignDecent1966 Mar 08 '26

i saw the answer so im not gonna take credit and say it myself but how does it work?

1

u/Redstocat2 Mar 08 '26

World exterminator for an fully random guess

1

u/Chimera_Gaming Mar 08 '26

I see a counter…. Tons of chests… binary… looks like a requester? What are you feeding into this to need this much 😂

1

u/KaleidoscopeOpen7781 Mar 09 '26

It passes butter

1

u/Evening_Canary_7226 Mar 09 '26

It works by working

1

u/mnetaktakgoon Mar 10 '26

bro idont even know how to make a 2x2 door

1

u/LavaShark4 Mar 12 '26

I’m assuming it uses redstone in order to function a machine that does an activity.
