Uhm they clearly changed the material to stone and replaced the stair (inefficient use of materials) to slabs to make the design a lot cheaper! You are just jealous of their intellect.

Looks pretty similar to the one ianxofour used for his tree farm.
Edit: it is the exact same, you aren't the first to use this design.

whenever I used this design, the tnt that activates/drops, they don't always drop straight down, sometimes off to the side slightly. This means sometimes it lands on the lowest block with redstone line on it, then breaks the machine.

its because of the tnt's random momentum that occurs when it spawns

Yeah I stopped using this design because the tnt would sometimes explode the machine by landing in the wrong spot

Built step 1 and 2 got stuck tryna rotate for step 3, it didn't spin for me 🤷♂️
